Jeremiah rose early and worked and worked and worked so he wouldn’t have much energy left to stew over Shannon. He kept Hercules to himself, because he couldn’t stand to be alone once he made it home. Flo and Janey kept giving him glances when he came in, but they didn’t say anything.
