Death

Third person P.O.V "Welcome, the others are waiting for you. They are in the third room from your right." Looking at his face, she sighed. He was an expressionless man with a hint of eagerness. He looked to be one of the people who had been trained, yet not quite enough to have their emotions controlled. "Alright, you can go." He frowned. Ah, that again. "Here you go, a tip." she quickly kissed him on the cheek with audacity and he blushed furiously, trying to hide his face. Maria chuckled and quickly waved him away.  He turned and immediately sprinted away. Opening the twin doors, she came in with my usual glamour. "Get out." The men who were flirting with the other two sisters froze in fear. They looked at her through her burning gaze and crawled out. She smirked. She clearly knew that her position of power was a man's, but her aura and gender was what made her different and unique. She looked at her blood family. Annoying. For Maria, she wanted nothing more than get this over and done with. Pulling out the chair, Mia and Grace watched her every move, waiting to notice her mistakes. However, none came to mind. Their hatred was not something simple. It had lasted for years now.  "Well, what's the catch?" Her sisters looked at her imposing manner and quickly found what they wanted to say. Sipping her tea like the elegant lady she was, Grace gently spoke, "Ask Mia please, i have nothing to say." Her cold tone could make people shiver with terror. It was not easy dealing with her. Her aloof character was what made her difficult. "I need your help! Just give me some time, would you?” Her tone of jokes hadn’t disappeared in the past years. And she was still good at pissing others. “Cut the s**t, say it.” Mara didn’t come to have some bonding time. She hated people beating around the bush.  "Alright, so here's the deal. I was to call you ou-" And that's when it happened. A strange cloud of smoke surrounded the place and strange red lights started flashing out from the middle of nowhere. It was a siren. Maria snapped, "How dare you!!" She was devastated beyond description. She wanted to flip the table and beat Mia up and so she did. But doing so made the situation worse. Not only did it make the situation worse emotionally, but it also made the silky white table catch fire. And it wasn't normal ones you see in the environment. It was a blazing and scorching fire which spread at the speed of light. Looks like other substances were mixed previously.  Maria, on the other hand handled the situation quite maturely and thought rationally. She needed to jump with the rest. She looked back at them, but their faces showed panic instead of their usual expressions. No surprise there. The place was a 54-story building and they were at the top of it. If it burned down, it will take them down with it. She had the situation handled perfectly. However......... THEY didn't. She sighed in frustration. Her understanding of these two were clear as always. Both were scared of fire. "Come," she beckoned. Maria held out her hand with nothing worth hesitating for. The saying was true. Old habits die hard. She still couldn't help but comfort and take care of them in the most difficult situation. Grace and Mia looked at her becoming a bit nostalgic on the spot. It had been a while since someone older than them, much less their family had been genuinely kind to them.  "Hmph, the best of the best should be doing this, who are you?" Mia mocked Maria with closeness in her words. Maria smiled and Grace just shook her head slowly. "Fine, here you go," Maria held her hands out for both of them to be grasped with young yet mature hands. "I say and we jump on the coun-" The place started gradually making rumbling sound showing clear signs of it crumbling apart. The emergency exits were blocked off and other than the window there was no exit. "No, please i don't want to." Grace was a cold person but she had still remained tender and warm hearted, making her a crybaby. No wonder she was the youngest. She had always been honest and open, but completely closed herself off after that incident. "Its okay." But it wasn't. Because right then a piece of wood came flipping down their heads. The eldest sister's reactions weren't for naught. Using her long yet strong hands to cover both siblings, she immediately screamed in excruciating pain.  Usually she would hold it in and just remain expressionless while even hot water would be poured on her. But she didn't want or at least her emotions told her not to. "Are you okay?! You're hurt!" Grace screamed over the falling burnt pieces. "I'm okay. worry about yourself and for god's sake don't cry!" But as usual, she was late. The tears were already flowing from her beautiful white face. Never in her life had Maria and Mia ever had a weakness. But this was the only thing and action that could make them bend down to their knees. "It's okay." Mia always acting like a mother expressed her concerns like her old self. "I don't mind dying, but not you two." She started wailing like a kid. It was unbelievable she was in her twenties. Another piece dropped and the place caught fire even faster. Her loud wailing came to a small whimpering when she saw her older sister block another piece. "Please someone help." But even Grace was giving up hope. She wasn't screaming, rather whispering. She kept the same words over and over again until Maria felt her vision blur. The sisters noticed the change and told her to keep it together. But it wasn't working. In fact, it made the situation worse. Soon, all three were falling in a deep slumber which no one was sure they would be waking up from.
