CHAPTER 2

Nightmare

She opened her eyes and in front of her was a figure she knew very well.

“p-ple-place st-stop” she said in between her sobs.

“shut up you little b***h” he spat and smack her cheek once again. She whimpered in pain but he didn't stop. He pull her by the hair and raised her up to his eye level. 

“How I wish I can kill you right here, right now” he said angrily “but I want enjoy it as much, I want you to suffer, to wish for your death but I wont stop” he said before punching her in the stomach cutting her air supply for a mere of seconds. He throw her on the floor while she desperately tried to breath. And indeed he didn't stop, he rose his foot and kick her again and again…

End of nightmare 

Semeli woke up gasping for air, she hug her self and desperately try to calm down her breathing. It was just a dream, an awful one. But she was still alive and no physically in pain. After the dream she had, she couldn't sleep anymore. It’s been a while since she had one of those nightmares. The idea of visiting a ruthless pack was probably the reason why she dreamed of her past. 

She took her phone and texted her best friend soon to be husband. 

“Hey” was all she wrote and waited for a reply, maybe he was asleep. 

Her phone start vibrating and she knew who it was before looking at the id caller. 

“Hey wifey, wants wrong?” he said and you could hear it in his voice that she probably woke him up.

“I-I..” she was still shocked from the nightmare so she couldn't say much.

“Another nightmare?” he asked worryingly and she hammed in reply. 

A small silent felt between them and then she heard him sigh. 

“You haven't had any of those in months. Are you alright?”

“Yes.. no” she said in a whisper, her voice gave her pain and fear away.

The rest of the night passed like that, Semeli explaining to her long best friend Samuel what she dreamed and what probably caused it. He was upset to say the least but he calmed down soon after Semeli accepted his offer to allow him to come with her. They were going to get married, so it was logical for him to be by her side, in times like this. 

Unlike werewolves the kids of high rank hunters, especially the kids of the leaders are not allowed to fall in love or choose a partner. They needed to keep their people united and produce strong generations. It was like running a business, by marrying a strong hunter you merge the two groups into a bigger one. Semeli's and Sam’s families were among the strongest, so their marriage will lead to the merge of those two families and as a result they will be the top family of hunters around the globe. Both Semeli and Sam grow up knowing that their fate was already sealed and that when they are old enough to get over the business, they will have to marry someone equal to them. For their luck, those two best friends ended up chosen to marry each other and not some stranger. 

After talking to Sam, she was more relax so she try to catch some sleep before the sun rise and she will have to arrange her trip to one of the most feared pack, the Dark moon pack. 

Dark moon pack

“Good morning Alpha”

“ Morning beta, to my office now” The alpha said coldly. The beta followed as he was request quietly. He sensed something was wrong but he knew that he will found out soon enough. When the door closed, he couldn't wait any longer so he asked

“Whats wrong man?” he said worry lacing his voice. Now that they were alone they could drop the act and the formalities. Alpha Damien run his hand through his hair in frustration and sigh.

“Hunters are coming to my territory” he blared out. The beta tensed up hearing those words.

“H-Hunters? which family?” he said silently praying to the moon goddess not to be the one who every werwolf fears.

“Peter Hunter” he whispered. The beta whimpered lowly but the alpha still heard him. Before taking again he gulped.

“Why?” was all he could say

“The last Alpha meeting didn't go as planned as you remember.”

 Indeed the last Alpha meeting some Alphas decide to unite their packs and create a similar war, as the one that scarred so many generations after it. They were too many when combined and the rest who were left out were outnumber. In order to protect their packs they decide to repeat history and fight along side the hunters. Not many were willing to help, as they were afraid of the consequences. But somehow Peter Hunter one of the most feared and ruthless hunters all over the world decide to help, it will benefit him too in his master plan to dominate the rest of the world but when desperate times rise, they need to take desperate measures. 

“Damn man we are in deep s**t” Beta Jason said

“I know, we need this treaty as much as he does but I am the most feared Alpha,he wont do what he wants” He reassured his beta, even though he knew something bad was going to happen. 

“I will tell Daisy, to go to her sister and come back after they are gone” he said more to himself than his alpha. Daisy was his mate and she was expecting their first child, he was very overprotective and never leaving her side but he decide its for the best to let her visit her sister in case the deal turns badly. 

“You do that, and I will call Alpha Max to grand you entrance” Even though he doesn't have a mate he knows how important Daisy is for his best friend. How much a mate can affect one another and him worrying about her safety makes him worry too. They were always hanging together since she got here and she was like a sister to him. He doesn't want her to get hurt especially now that she is pregnant and more vulnerable.
