Chapter Four

Oliver’s POV

I guess I should be excited that I was meeting my sister after a long time, but she was acting a little weird when we talked on the phone.

I just got to the café and I was shocked to know that Betty resigned. When I asked if anyone knew what happened no one knew.

“Hi! I would like to order……. Iced caramel macchiato.”

“Anything else?” The customer just nods.

“Please take a seat, your order will be ready soon.”

The customer kept staring me. I just ignored it and took the order and serve the drink, as our waiter wasn’t able to come.

Suddenly, he grabbed the drink from me and “accidentally” spilled the whole drink on my legs.

“Ohh my god, I am so sorry.” He kept apologizing.

“It’s okay.” I could see him smile, it was almost wicked. I just took the glass and went to the staff restroom. Thankfully i keep extra pair of pants with me.

When I came back, he was nowhere to be found.

Few hours have passed and I am still think, why did he do that. There has to be a reason and I don’t even know who he was. There weren’t many customers at that time.

A customer came in, it was the same guy from earlier. He looked bad.

“I am so sorry for what I did. I shouldn’t have done that, I was acting childish. Please forgive me or else he will ruin my life.”

“I forgive you but first tell me why did you even do that, I don’t even know who you are.”

“I was jealous.”

Of me, why would anyone be jealous of me. Okay I am done talking to him, he is weird and what did he mean when he said “he will ruin my life.”

After apologizing he left and it was also the end of my shift.

As I was about to enter my apartment, I heard a voice calling my name out.

“Oliver!”

It was my sister. She looked so different from when I saw her last time.

“Hi! How are you, please come in!”

“I am doing fine, what about you.”

I debated whether to tell her or not.

“I am also doing fine.”

We talked for a bit and ate dinner together.

“Hey! I want to talk about something.”

I could tell it was something serious. I didn’t reply, waiting for her to continue.

“So is everything fine here? Lucas messaged me, he was worried about you. He said it would be good if I talked to you, he told me that he has noticed that since a week, I guess, you seem stressed and aren’t feeling well. I was also meaning to come see you but you know I am your sister and we don’t hide stuff from each other.”

I felt frustrated at Lucas, why the hell would he tell my sister that. He could have asked me but I wouldn’t have told him.

“I promise everything is fine, he is worried about nothing. Do you wanna stay the night here, it is pretty late?“

“Hmm, sure I will sleep at the couch. You can also go sleep.” She said while yawning and covering her mouth.

I changed my clothes and right now I was laying down. I don’t lie liking but even if I told her she would just say that I am imagining things but I am not

Tomorrow was Sunday my day off. I noticed things since last week.

On last Monday, the café was closed I don’t know why, so I went to grocery shopping and when I returned back I noticed there was a flower bouquet, more especially tulips. At first, I thought it was Lucas but he said he didn’t send any flowers

On Tuesday, it was a bit chilly and I felt like going for a walk. When I came back, my hoodie was on the bed. I clearly remember, it wasn’t there if it was I would have remembered.

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, I took leave because I had fever and cough.

On Saturday, I did go to the café but for few hours since my fever came back.

Sunday was off. On Monday, I was feeling better, my fever was gone. Lucas wanted to go shopping he said it would help my mood get better. One of my coworker owned me a favor he covered my shift.

We went to the mall. I bought some cute dresses and I also needed a pair of sneakers. I swear I felt like someone was staring but I couldn’t see their face and when we reached to Lucas’ car there was the same bouquet on the windshield but this time there was a card.

For Oliver

The next few days nothing happened until the incident that happened today.

I was about to sleep when I got a message from Blake.

Blake: Are you sleeping?

Me: No i am not

Blake: Are you free tomorrow?

Me: I am free

Blake: I was thinking maybe we could go on a date if you like?

I couldn’t breathe for a minute. I thought he forgot me because the last time we talked and saw each other was when he made me breakfast.

Me: Of course I would love to

Blake: I will pick you up at 5

Me: okie

I was excited for the date but right now I needed to sleep.

The next morning my sister insisted that she wanted to stay with me for few days because she was worried about me. I told her there was nothing to be worried of. And she left around 3.

Unknown's POV

I saw everything how Benjamin spilled that drink on Oliver. As long as I am alive no one is allowed to mess with him, if anyone does I am going to ruin them. I won’t hesitate. For Oliver I would do anything.

Well I know I shouldn’t do this but I can’t help myself. I found some dirt on Ben. If everyone knew he wouldn’t even be able to show his face to the world.

I know blackmailing is wrong but what Ben did to get were he is, is worse. He slept with his boss, who by the way is married, to get a promotion.

I sent him the evidence and I bet he was panicking, he replied “I would do anything but please delete it.” Classic but I like it.

Me: Go back to the café you went in the morning and apologize to him, tell him you were wrong and if he doesn’t forgives you, you can imagine what I will do.

Ben: Okay I will but promise you will delete this

Me: Okay but go and apologize first.

I was watching from far away but I could see the surprise in Oliver’s eyes.
