I was kissing Bella, and I didn’t even realize I’d backed her against the wall until her shoulder blades hit the cold plaster. I nudged her gently, just enough to trap her there, my palms flat on either side of her head. She stiffened under my hands. I did, too. The kiss hadn’t been planned. But the second I’d seen her in that white dress, all I could think about was getting my mouth on hers. For days, her lips had been haunting me, and in front of the judge and Nanny Lucing I’d held back. Now, there was nothing stopping me.
