Chapter 5 Charlie I'd roused about a minute before my lids opened. My arms were draped around my pillow. The clock on my side table read 10:42 a.m. s**t, half my morning had disappeared. Lumbering into my en-suite, I flipped on the lights and squinted because my bloodshot eyes and five o'clock shadow were reflected in the LED vanity mirror. If Dad saw me walking into the office like this, he'd lose his s**t. Luckily it was Sunday, so I could get away with looking disheveled.
