“I am just going to have to find some other way to make money. I will take a year off and work a few jobs, until I have enough money to finish school. Maybe I will get lucky and my dad will divorce Maggie. Then he can finish paying for my schooling, the way we had originally planned.” I say, trying to convince Lena it’s fine. Really, I am just trying to convince myself. I was so excited to only have one year left, taking a year off just feels like a setback.
