"How much do you sell your hotdog… just give me two, okay ma. Did you just call me Ma? I'm Sofia your classmate, so this is what you do for a living,, oh poor girl…, you're really miserable, you know what you're going to be calling me madam Sofia from today if you really wants me to patronize you frequently." Sofia said rudely to Ann.

"Excuse you!! You're not an excuse, you know what, just forget it because I don't have your time. Sofia, what did I ever do to you?"

"Are you really asking me that? Well I'm going to tell you, since the day you choose to humiliate me in class, I've vow to make that school unbearable for you!! Excuse me."

Sofia said those harsh words at Ann and drove away. Ann continues selling her hotdog joyfully as she pays no attention to what Sofia said to her.

"Buy your hotdog, it's taste really good!!!, Ann, we need to go home because it's about to rain, yes mum, let me park up."

"Time for dinner, okay mum, just a minute," Ann screamed from her room. This really tastes nice, who prepared it? Your father did, really Dad? Of course I did. Dad, can you please make lunch for four people? Yes I can but what do you need it for? It's for my friend's dad."

"Your friends? I thought you said you have only two friends Mia and Angela, so who's the other person? The other person is…, never mind dad, just make it for me please!!! Okay I will, anything for you my sweetheart, thank you Dad "

The next day, "mum dad, I'm leaving for school now, okay sweetheart, here's your lunch you asked for. oh I nearly forgot it, thank you Dad, you're the best, l love you, I love you too sweetheart."

Ann took the lunch and left for a taxi, while she was waiting for a car parked in front of her and the window was down and then the door was opened.

"Are you coming in or not? I'm coming in, good morning Michael, I'm talking to you, good morning." But still Michael didn't reply to her. "You shouldn't have given me a ride if you were planning no to talk to me," Ann blurted out.

"Stop the car!!" Michael said to the driver then he opened the door by Ann's side. "Get down from my car!! Huh, I should get down? You heard me right. But there's no taxi around here, I promise not to say a word till we get to school," Ann confessed.

Michael closed the door and the driver drove to the school. "Thank you for the ride, hmm here I brought this lunch for you, what for, I'm using this meal to apologize for what I did the other day, I'm really sorry. You can keep it. I don't want it, please accept it from me."

Michael took the food from Ann and walked into his classroom. Michael didn't eat breakfast from home because of his grandmother's trouble so he took the food Ann gave him to a quiet place and ate it.

"Ann!!! Can you please go home and get me some hotdog?" Sofia shouted at Ann to draw the students attention. "What are you saying Sofia, what do you need a hotdog for? Well, Ann here sells hotdogs on the street." At the mention of that the students burst into laughter.

"What is wrong with you Sofia? How dare you make a mockery of my friend, well the only one making a mockery of herself is the one that sells hotdogs on the street." The students burst into laughter again.

Ann became sad and ran out of the classroom, her friends ran after her and consoled her.

"Hello students, hello sir, well I'm here to announce to you all that we will be going for an excursion by next week, so you all do well to inform your parents and guidance about it okay? You all wouldn't want to miss this excursion, so do well to prepare for it, thank you for your time, have a nice day, thank you sir." The students were happy about the news and couldn't wait for that day to come.

"Mum Dad, our school is going for an excursion by next week and it's going to be fun. I can't wait for that day to come. Where are you guys going for the excursion? We were not told mum. I'm going to called your form master and asked him that, if the excursion is going to take place in a place I don't like, you're no going to go."

"Mum, is that really necessary? Of course Sofia it is, I don't want any scars on you." Sofia's mother picks up her phone and dials the form master's number. "Hello Mr Andrew, you're speaking with Sofia's mother, I know ma, may I help you ma?

"Sofia told me about the excursion that will be taking place next week, yes ma, I think I know why you called me, you don't need to be worried ma, everything is in safe hands. If you say so then I don't need to crack my head over this, one more thing I'm leaving my daughter to your care, okay ma."

"You can go for the excursion Sofia, okay mum, thank you."

"Michael, I heard your school is going for an excursion, yes we are, how did you even know about it? I'm your grandmother and I have every right to know everything about you. Here you go again, I'm a man and I can do things on my own, I know that I'm only making sure that nothing goes wrong."

"Can you please allow me to eat my food in peace grandma? I wasn't disturbing you either, well I wanted to let you know that I will be traveling out of the country till further notice. Wow that is great news, great news? Yes Mrs Rebecca, you even called me by my name, yes."

"I'm really not going to miss you grandma, you're such a silly boy."

"Mum, dad, guess what? What Ann? Our school is going on an excursion!! That's interesting sweetheart, you are going to have a good time there, when are you guys going for the excursion? Next week father, I'm going to make your best meal for you okay? Thank you dad."

"Knock knock!! Ann, someone is at the door, go and open it, okay mum." Sofia went to open the door and saw her friends standing outside. "How did you girls find my place? Are you going to let us come in or not? Come in come in."

"Good afternoon ma, good afternoon sir, good afternoon, you girls must be Ann's friends? Yes we are, you girls came at the right time, come join us, have your seat, let's eat together, thank you ma."

At Michaels place, he's reading a book then his friend walks in.

"How did you get in here? Is that the welcome you're supposed to say to me? Can you at least smile for a bit, you're just too serious for my liking. Where is grandma? She traveled, that's good news. At least you're safe from her troubles."

"Michael, I think I like that new girl Ann, what! You're joking right? No I'm serious, how can you like a dirty girl like her, well that's your business."

"Good morning students, hope you guys are ready because the bus will be here in a few minutes, please you all should behave yourself when you get there." The teacher walked out of the class and the students started talking in groups.

The students entered the bus till it was filled up and it was still remaining Ann so she was told to sit close to Michael who demanded to sit alone, Ann pleaded to sit with him but he refused.

"Can you please be human enough to let me sit close to you? I paid for this seat, so I'm sitting here alone." Since Michael refused to let Ann sit she had to stand, so the bus started driving.

While the driver was driving he entered a pothole and the bus started shaking. During the process Ann fell on Michael's lap and their eyes cut with each other…
