Chapter Twenty
Pimps lie and whores lose their identity to the street. Since her submission several weeks ago, after she serviced a long string of men in the basement of her home; instead of fulfilling his promise to save her daughter, Lester turned Martha out on the street. At first, Lester protected her as she turned tricks, but later he didn’t. Nor did he allow her the warmth of his bed or the safety of her home which he had made his own. He made sure she medicated, though. “Old fat whores sleep in the park and take drugs,” he told her.
