Chapter 3 Finding the daughter

"why is sir always having a icy face i feel like I'm suffocating in here just by him looking at me like that,I feel like he wants to murder me ohh heavens what has happened this time", thought Jackson to himself as he strides with Alex to his office,cold sweat runs down his forehead.

After going into the office Alex strides to his desk only to stop the next second, noticing a peace of paper with the corner of his eye which made him pause and look at it. Looking at the peace of paper which looked like a picture looking closely "could it be did Marlisa leave this for me to find,is this girl in the picture my daughter",thought Alex to him self as he looks at the girls face.

Seing the girls face Alex felt his heart clenching for the first time as his breath hitches,he felt the connection to that pulled on him to the girl on the picture. Alex ran his hands on top of the small girls face that's on the picture seemingly lost in it.

Jackson being curious he peaks on the picture and is astonished by what he sees his boss looking at with widened eyes Jackson thought to him self" has the sun risen from the west today who thought this devil like cold man could actually look at a picture of a child with such fondness this was really a sight to behold",thought Jackson to himself as he smirked thinking about all the news that he now had on his grasp as he burned to wanting to share it with someone,he felt like he couldn't hold still at all" well you can't blame me you also wouldn't be able to stand it as well if you were in my shoes I just witnessed the impossible ohk give me a break", thought Jackson to himself as he tried to maintain his composure but clearly was failing miserably at doing so.

"Jackson take me to this location now",said Alex coldly as he placed the peace of paper in Jackson's hand, as he strides out the office without waiting for Jackson to reply.They stride their way towards the private elevator with a new found determination as Jackson steps forward to swipe the access card and the hand print as the elevator slides open.

They stepped into the elevator and made their way on the ground floor as the elevator door slide opens.

Alex doesn't waste a breath as he made his way out of the elevator with Jackson walking a few steps behind him towards the waiting Range Rover Infront of the building ,as they walked past employees who give a slight bow in respect of Alex. Jackson opens the back sit for Alex who steps in without wasting time before he goes to the drivers sit and drove to the location given to him by Alex as his fingers trembled slightly under Alex's icy and sharp gaze.

"here I thought I'd get used to this man's icy glares but I still feel like I might just let loose on my pants" thought Jackson to himself with a long sigh silently leaving his lips as he kept his sweaty palms on the steering wheel navigating his way towards the destination he was ordered to.

Reaching the tall yet older structured building Jackson stops the vehicle as he informed Alex" sir we're here" in a respective tone of voice. Alex swept his gaze out of the window suddenly feeling his heart tremble in newfound nervousness that his never felt before,"wait in the car", said Alex in a commanding tone as he steps out of the car himself with a motionless face and he strides his way towards the building entrance.

The people entering and exiting the building all turned to look at his as he entered the building a bit intimidated, as he walked up a flight of stairs heading to the second floor. As he got to the second floor there was only one door with a board written "Sky Light Children's Home".

Alex briefly looked at the board then rang the doorbell a few times then waited for the door to be opened. In a while a middle aged woman opens the door as she scanned Alex up and down, seing how elegant he looked she gave a light bow with a friendly yet respectful smile.

"How may I help you sir" asked the woman named Miss Mary the one who took care of the children in the children's home. "I'm here for a girl named Emily" said Alex without beating around the bush or hesitation.

"Ohh please come in, the girl you're talking about does stay here with us but if I may ask for safety reasons why are you looking for her" asked the woman as she lead Alex inside." She's my daughter and I've came to take her with me" said Alex, as the woman nodded thoughtfully then gave a soft sigh.

"I've never thought anyone would come looking for that child the way other children living here even the care takers living here are scared of her", Alex's eyes snapped to look at the woman them asked "what do you mean by that she's just 5" said Alex trying to understand the situation.

The woman sigh " yes she is young and thats what scares us the most she never speaks much and sometimes it's like she became a different person she can be a sweet child tough not speaking and help out while other times she hurt her brothers and sisters in here" said the lady as she sigh again.

"I understand can I see her now ",asked Alex as he processed the situation,as his heart started beating louder and the pulling feeling on his chest got worse as if it's drawing him in, and without the need for Miss Mary to lead the way Alex walked towards a closed room as he placed his hand on the handle of the door opening it then swinging the door open.
