Late afternoon
“You’re home, I was worried about you.” Donal got up from his seat in the study and ran up to Alexei, throwing himself into his fiancé’s arms.
“I went out to do some birthday shopping, little mouse. You didn’t give me much notice that your birthday was tomorrow. I also had to write up our wedding announcement for the society pages. Because I am on the board of Garou, it’s expected. I have to talk to you about that. Let’s have our tea. Grigory, call and tell Vasily to come down. We’ll meet in the family dining room. We have to talk about what may happen next.”
