CHAPTER.2

Helen woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside her window. She stretched her arms and yawned, feeling the warmth of the sun on her face. She lived in a cozy little house on the outskirts of the pack's territory, surrounded by trees and wildlife. As the alpha's daughter, Helen's life was busy. She had responsibilities and expectations placed upon her, but she often felt lonely and disconnected from the rest of the pack. Helen's family was loving and supportive, but they were also demanding. Her father, the alpha, expected her to take on more responsibilities and lead by example. Her mother, the pack's healer, wanted her to focus on her studies and become a skilled healer like herself. Helen's siblings were all older and busy with their own lives, so she often felt like she was shouldering the burden alone. Helen's friends were few, but loyal. There was Sarah, the pack's huntress, who taught Helen how to track and hunt. There was also Jake, the pack's jokester, who always made Helen laugh. But despite these friendships, Helen felt like an outsider. She didn't quite fit in with the rest of the pack. One day, while out on a walk, Helen stumbled upon a strange object in the woods. It was a small, glowing crystal that seemed to pulse with an otherworldly energy. Helen felt drawn to it, like it was calling to her. As she reached out to touch it, she heard a voice behind her. "Helen, what are you doing?" Helen turned to see her father, the alpha, standing behind her. "Just exploring," she said, trying to hide the crystal behind her back. Her father's eyes narrowed. "What's that you've got there?" Helen hesitated, unsure of what to say. But before she could answer, the crystal suddenly exploded in a burst of light and energy. Helen was knocked off her feet, and everything went dark. When Helen came to, she was lying in her bed, surrounded by her family and the pack's healer. She was groggy and disoriented, but as she sat up, she realized that something was off. "What happened?" she asked, looking around at the concerned faces. "You were attacked by a mysterious energy force," her father explained. "We're not sure what it was or where it came from, but it knocked you out cold." Helen's mind was racing. She remembered finding the crystal and feeling it's strange energy, but she had no idea what had happened after that. As she struggled to piece together the events of the previous day, Helen began to feel a strange sensation within herself. It was as if the crystal's energy was still coursing through her veins, changing her in some fundamental way. Suddenly, Helen's body began to shift and contort, her limbs stretching and morphing into something new. She felt a surge of power and strength flow through her, and she knew that she was no longer fully human. "Helen, what's happening to you?" her mother cried, horror in her voice. But Helen didn't know. She was too busy trying to understand what was happening to her own body. As the transformation continued, Helen felt her senses expand and intensify. She could smell the pack's fear and confusion, and she could hear the sound of their hearts beating in unison. She was no longer just a member of the pack. She was something more. And as the transformation finally subsided, Helen stood up on unsteady legs, her eyes glowing with a fierce, otherworldly energy. "I don't know what I am," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But I know I'm not human anymore." The pack gasped in shock and awe, and Helen's father stepped forward, his eyes filled with a mix of fear and wonder. "Helen, my daughter," he said. , his voice trembling. "What have you become?”
