THE EAGLE'S ASCENT ( A Sure Path To Success )

The eagle, a seemingly larger-than-life bird, has fascinated and inspired man, with great leadership characteristics. Indeed, eagles are among the world’s largest birds of prey.

We venerate them as living symbols of power, freedom, and transcendence. Man, for years, has taken the eagle as the symbol of beauty, bravery, courage, honour, pride, and determination. What makes this bird so special, important, and symbolic to humanity are its characteristics.

Eagles are full of life and are visionaries, but they find time to look back on their lives and re-energize themselves. This happens at about the age of 30 and above. What happens is that when the eagles are over the age of 30, their physical body condition deteriorates fast, making it difficult for them to survive. What is interesting is that the eagle never gives up living; instead, it retreats to a mountaintop and, over two months, goes through a metamorphosis. It knocks off its beak by banging it against a rock, then plucks its talons and then feathers. Each stage produces a re-growth of the removed body parts, allowing the eagle to live for another 30–40 years. determination to live. What a special bird!

There are times you must look back and take stock of your life as a human, noting that time is running out. Eagles nurture their younger ones. The most surprising aspect of this bird is its ability to nurture the young. Research has shown that no member of the bird family is gentler and more attentive to its young than the eagle. To do well in your business, you must take care of your input. Eagles do not eat dead meat. In other words, an eagle does not scavenge.

The Eagles have long enjoyed the reputation as the “king of the birds.” The question is, what makes this bird stand out much above the rest? Its special attributes and hunger for success are the answer. I refer to the eagle as the special bird simply because it is regal, stately, and truly impressive. I have nursed this ambition of writing something inspirational about this special bird for a very long time.

As you can see, the eagle possesses special qualities and traits that are simply breathtaking! If only we could pattern our lives around some of its tracts, we would no doubt soar above the heights or ascent of life. Unlike most birds, the eagle lives and operates in the air; it even builds its nest in the air. It can find and spend time soaring in the sky, and it can even make a living from it.

What an ambitious creature! This simply means that the eagle naturally possesses a greater perspective than almost every other bird out there. Though they all fly, the eagle enjoys the peace and quietness of the height as it is removed from noise and clutter that happens at the lower level of life.

Significantly, it only shows that the higher one gets in life, the easier it is to have a bigger and clearer perspective of what is going on below. People who live at higher levels of life are people who separate themselves from the clutter, confusion, and commotion that happens at the lower levels.

Do you know that eagles never fly in a group? Talk of solitude; you talk of the eagle; they always fly alone. The eagle is a born leader! It charts its course and is never a follower. This special creature is the living symbol of independence as opposed to group mentality which oftentimes takes one nowhere. It is when we take time to break out of a group or crowd that we know the great potential that lies within us.

Another special attribute possessed by the eagle is that once it is paired in marriage, both eagles remain together only death could lead to separation. Then the new mate accepted. Unbelievably, a mystery to humanity, divorce does not exist; separation is only brought by death. Isn’t this worthy of emulation? It is called fidelity, faithfulness, and commitment of the eagle.
