All Maggie could think about all night was what Andrew had said. What did she do to make him not like her? Why was he so mean? What did he mean by mate?
She also had this feeling of hurt. She just couldn’t describe it.
Maggie planned on asking Andrew that day what was he talking about, but she never could find him. He wasn’t even in class that day, or for the rest of the week for that matter. She didn’t tell her friends what happened, because she felt like they wouldn’t understand.
Maggie, Amy, and Emily ended up becoming friends with Sadie and Amelia. They started hanging out. Maggie desperately wanted to ask them about Andrew, but she didn’t have the nerve to. She didn’t want to ruin their new friendship. But still she had this feeling of hurt.
One Saturday, the 5 girls were having a girl’s spa day. Manis, pedis, facials, and hair. Just what every girl dreamed of. Throughout the day though, Maggie just did not feel like herself. While the girls were getting lunch, Maggie felt this sharp pain inside her chest. She started crying it hurt so bad.
“What is wrong? Are you ok?” asked Amy.
“NO! I’m hurting and I don’t know why.” screamed Maggie.
Sadie and Amelia had a feeling they knew what was going on. “Have you talked to any of the guys that came with us?” asked Sadie.
“Only once. ARGH!!” screamed Maggie in pain.
“Who was it and what did he say?” asked Amelia.
“All he said was his name and that he rejected me,” Maggie cried right before she passed out.
“The pain is too much for her to bare. We need to take her to the ‘doctor’” stated Amelia. Sadie agreed. They told the other girls that they would take care of her and took off.
Amelia and Sadie took her to the pack hospital. There was a lot of eyes on them. Why did they bring a human to the pack doctor?
They told the doctor what happened and that they thought Maggie had been rejected by her mate. The doctor went to work right away. While she normal only saw werewolves, she knew exactly what to do to help Maggie.
