Chapter Three LIR WOKE THE next morning and called his assistant manager, Rusty Salisbury, and told him to cover the day shift. He didn’t want to risk going to work and having something else happen to the twins while he was thirty to forty-five minutes away. As it was, last night they were only five minutes away, and he still wasn’t home in time. It sucked being a single father.
