Lir stared at the front of his cabin, his hands shoved into his pockets as he fought to keep the panic he felt from overwhelming him. He had no idea why Aoife would do what she did. How could she claim to love him and then turn around and hurt his children? She knew what they meant to him, knew how much his life centered on his kids right then.
“And you can’t think of anything that would cause her to want to force them into their animal forms?” Dimitri asked as he paced beside Lir, arms over his chest, as he stared at the ground around his feet. “Any clue at all might tell us where she took them.”
