Liam's POV
I don't know what was up with Edward but sure he managed to piss me off like any other day. Typical him. Never, ever am I going to agree to his stupid plans. At least, I managed to escape from him after work. I drove back as soon as Marcus said I could leave early.
After 4 years she decided to come back and he goes on with his ideas of how to hurt her again. Thea and I have been friends since our school days. We hit off the first day of our school since then no one could have separated us. She always has been the sweetheart but always denied. Well, she could be the devil also sometimes. I chuckled alone remembering the tricks and stunts she used to pull just to give me heart attacks. She never was like other girls, goddamn she rides a bike to school.
Never stopped giving people surprises but fate brought us apart for 4 years. I was the who helped her to get away from here, I knew she was suffering but I missed her a lot. I lost my other half. She would have known what I should do to that annoying Edward bastard. Well, time goes by really fast. Here I am now, sneaking into my own apartment without making noise. She should be sound asleep by the amount of sleep she had in her eyes when she drove away.
"Liam?", proven wrong. Thea walked out of my kitchen wearing an apron.
"Hey, that smells great. What are you cooking? Shouldn't you be asleep? You should rest.", I nagged while walking with her to the kitchen.
"Slow down boy. I made your favourite fried rice. I slept enough now.", she laughed.
I shrugged and went to pick up orange juice from my fridge and gulped down straight from the box. That earned me a knock on my head.
"Use a glass, you caveman.", she said handing me a glass.
Classic, Thea. Clean freak. I thought in my mind.
"I am not a freak. Thank you. Now go take a bath. You smell."
"What? How?", I turned at her.
"Your head and face are easy to r******w go go go! We have a lot of catching up to do.", she said amused with a smirk playing on her lips.
We were sprawled on the floor with wine glasses. Laughing on how ridiculous it was when I first worked with Marcus.
"I swear he looks so uptight. He could really fit the army type you know.", she hiccuped being a bit drunk. I laughed. I couldn't agree more.
"And Edward, you do know he has a thing for you right? ", she said making me sit up straight. She sat beside me and held my hand.
"I know.", I smiled.
"Why are you avoiding him then?", she asked.
"Remember our blood pact?"
It was a rainy night. I was lying on my garage couch waiting for Thea as she promised to meet up and have a movie night together.
"Hey, Parker.", I was facing a soaked and crying Thea.
"Oh my God, what the hell happened to you. Come on, you need to get changed. Mom! Where are the spare towels?", I dragged you into my house.
"Gosh, Thea darling. Go wait in the bathroom. I will get you a towel dear. Liam go get your clothes for her.", my mother replied pushing both of us towards my room.
Thea got changed but tears never seemed to stop. She cried for almost two hours in my hug. We ended up eating four tubes of chocolate mint ice cream and binged on the Twilight series. Suddenly, she turned to face me with her puffy eyes and pulled out a blade from my table.
"Liam, let's make a blood pact?".
"What?", I giggled at how ridiculous my best friend looks.
"We would never date or have a thing for someone without approval from you for me and from me for you.", she looked so determined.
That day, our little blood pact was made. Ever since we always made sure our dates go through an interview session before continue with our relationship. I never forgot any of my promises to you and I would never will.
"Oh, Liam. You remember.", she sniffed pulling me into a hug.
"I will always. Forever together, remember?", I pinched her nose.
