Kailani and I stared at each other for five minutes now. Aaron on the other hand was on our side, tied up with plant vines na nasa gilid ng tubig na pinaliligoan ako.

“We’ll talk and settle things here, Aaron. I heard everything you just said,” sabi ni Kailani at napalunok siya. I told him I’m not the same Cygnus anymore. He could’ve just listened. Hindi sana ito nangyari. “I’m so glad I followed Cygnus all the way here.” he added and I heard him clicked his tongue.

We stayed silent for another couple of minutes at biglang napahinga ng maalim si Kailani. Bakit ganito? Gusto ko lang naman maligo.

“Aaron, let me hear your thoughts,” biglang sabi ni Kailani at tinitigan niya ito habang ako ay tuloyan na lang umupo sa ilalim ng tubig. I thought I got the peace I wanted, it turns out, I got into mess instead.”Drop the honorifics, tell me what you want and do not consider me as a prince for now- oh well, you never considered me as one in the first place. Disowned, right?” Kailani asked at pumutla siya. He really dug her own grave.

“U-Um.” Aaron said and cleared his throat. “We’ve been in the same class since elementary. Noon pa man, gusto ko na siya. Ayaw kong may umaaligid sa kanyang iba kaya ginagawa ko ang lahat na walang makalapit sa kanya. Back then, hindi ko dinistorbo si Cygnus kasi tinulungan ko si Dad na magbigay ng relief goods. Nabalitaan ko kaagad na may bumukas na Pandora’s Box sa lugar nina Cygnus kaya agad akong bumalik pero pagbalik ko dito, wala na siya. Her mom did not reveal any information, umalis siya- iyon lang ang alam ko.” Aaron added. I can’t believe he really told him everything. He’s really dumb.

“Well, within that time, I met him in the bridge na malapit sa bahay nila. We made a contract and saved the island.” tipid na sagot ni Kailani.

“So you were the one who saved the island. Ang umabot na balita sa akin ay tungkol lang sa isang lalaki na malakas at galing sa mainland. Who would have thought that it’s you. The same person who took Cygnus away,” Aaron said casually, his pale lips even returned to its fresh pink color.

“Took him away?” Kailani asked and he chuckled. “You mean saving him from an obsessed piece of trash like you?” Kailani added and that statement startled him.

“OKAY, STOP!” sigaw ko at tumayo na ako. They all glanced at me at naglakad ako papunta sa uniform ko. They looked away at nagbihis ako ulit sa uniform ko. “We’re here in a mission, can we not talk about this? Isa pa, bakit ba kayo ganiyan? I can understand kung babae ako pero lalaki ako, lalaki kayo!” reklamo ko.

“Oh come on, stop acting that nothing happened between us even though we’re both men. We had a great time Cygnus,” Kailani said coldly and he clicked his tongue again. Ramdam ko ang pamumula ng mukha ko at napatingin ako kay Aaron na halatang nagulat. His eyes widened and stared at both of us.

“H-H-Happened?” Aaron asked at tumayo siya kaya tumayo na rin si Cygnus. “Something happened?! L-L-L-Like … like s****l thing?!” he exclaimed.

“Oh may iba pa ba? We’re living in one mansion and do you expect nothing happened between us?!” sagot naman ni Kailani.

“At pumayag ka?!!” biglang tanong ni Aaron sa akin at agad akong napaatras.

“L-L-Look, calm down y-you two,” utal-utal kong sabi.

“WOAH- HINDI MO NGA AKO PINAPAHAWAK SA KAMAY MO DATI TAPOS NAGPAPAHAWAK KA SA WALANG KWENTANG PRINSIPE NA IYAN?!” sigaw niya.

“Walang kwenta?! HA!! Ikaw nga tong walang kwenta eh! Pinapatakas mo pa kami?! Nanggagago ka ba?!!” sigaw naman ni Kailani at umatras na ako ng tuloyan. I cannot stop them aready. This is going overboard.

“HA! At least hindi inabandona!!” sigaw ni Aaron.

“HA! At east malakas!!” sigaw naman ni Kailani.

ANO BA?! Para silang mga bata!

I heard footsteps from outside at nagulat ako nang pumasok sina Kali at Nieve kasama sina Jill at Edwardo. Nang makapasok sila, bakas sa mukha nila na may halong pag-aalala pero nang makita nila kami, they looked confused- lalong-lalo na nang makita si Aaron at Kailani na malapit nang magsuntakan. AH- How can I explain things here?

“What the hell is happening here?” Kali asked at isa-isa niya kaming tiningnan.

“W-W-Well,” sabi ko and I glanced at them both.

“Well, what Your Highness?” Nieve suddenly asked at tumingin ako sa kaniya. Oh crap. He is wearing the exact smile he had when he was too tired to attend school. 

“U-U-U-Um,” iyon lang ang nasabi ko at tiningnan ko si Kali para tulongan ako pero subalit na tulongan niya ako, he went numb and looked away at me.

“Come on, tell me, Your Highness. Ang lakas kasi ng mga sigaw niyo- baka gusto ko sumali,” Nieve said with another sweet but dangerous smile at bigla niyang hinawakan ang shoulder ko. Hindi ako nag dalawang isip umatras para matanggal ang pagkahawak niya sa akin.

“W-W-We should g-g-get g-going,” utal-utal kong sabi.

“Sure, after you tell me everything,” Nieve replied and the plants around us started freezing into ice. Agad akong napatingin kay Kailani at napalunok na lang siya sa nangyari. Look what you both have done. Kasasabi niya lang di ba? The beast inside him is sleeping, not dead. Tapos ganito pa ang nangyari? Why the hell did we wake his beast?!

“L-Look, Nieve, we really have to-” putol kong sabi nang may narinig akong sigaw sa itaas na parte ng bundok. The waterfalls is there pero may pumupunta ring mga tao doon paminsan-minsan to get some useful herbs.

“W-W-Was that a scream?!” Jill exclaimed.

“H-H-H-Hindi di ba? O baka hindi tao iyon di ba?!” Edwardo asked.

Sasagot na sana ako kaso narinig na namin ulit ang sigaw. This time we heard it clearly. It sounded like ‘help me’.

“It sounded like a person to me,” sabi ko.

“We’ll talk about this later. Let’s go!” sigaw ni Kali at nauna na siyang umalis. Okay, that scream just saved me so I better go and save that person.

We jumped towards the direction where I heard the scream but I have to hurry so I need to do something.

“Kali!” I called habang tumatalon kami palayo. “Mauna kami ni Kailani,” sabi ko at tumigin ako kay Kailani. Kita ko rin si Aaron sa gilid niya and yeah, I know he was pissed.

“Go!!” Kali shouted.

“Kailani!!” I shouted and I jumped higher than before. Wala akong sinabi sa kanya pero alam kong alam niya kung anong gagawin niya. He also jumped higher pero mas mataas pa sa akin. The next thing I knew, he unleashed his golden wings at napangiti ako. Kahit kailan talaga, his power will always give me goosebumps. I summoned two vines at humawak ito sa bewang niya para hindi ako mahulog.

“I can carry you though,” Kailani said with a smile while glancing at Aaron who look stunned.

“Kailani, we have no time for this!” reklamo ko at tumawa siya.

“Okay. Okay. Kumapit ka.” he said at bigla nalang siyang lumipad nga napakabilis. Hindi ko man lang makita ang paligid dahil sa bilis niya. He’s bee flying with this kind of speed?! Is he a monster?! I can answer my question though- yes he is a monster.

Nabigla na lang ako nang tumigil siya at harap ko na ngayon ang waterfalls. The waterfalls is 60 meters high at ang daming halaman sa paligid but there is a pool of blue water sa ibaba nito. I have no time to appreciate the nature for now, kailangan kong makita ang sumigaw kanina.

“There!” biglang sabi ni Kailani at hindi ko pa man nakita ang tinutukoy niya. Nagulat na lang ako na bumagsak kami sa lupa. He landed perfectly while me? I landed with my back.

“Bobo ka ba?!! Ang sakit ng likoran ko!!” reklamo ko at tumayo ako.

“Okay lang iyan. Gusto mo ba tulad ka niyan?” he asked while looking in front. I peeked nang makatayo ako ng maayos. What the hell am I watching?!

“T-T-T-That’s?” I asked.

“The person who screamed- with no spinal cord. Buti ka pa nga nandiyan pa likoran mo,” he said. BRUH- THAT WAS NOT A GOOD JOKE. HOW DARK AND RUDE!

“Kailani, that’s rude,” sabi ko at napahawak sa tiyan ko kasi pakiramdam ko lalabas na lahat ng lamang-loob ko.

“You’re the rude one. Ikaw ang nagreklamo na masakit ang likod mo eh ito nga oh, wala nang likod,” he said and I gasped.

“Stop! Grabe ka!” reklamo ko.

“But,” he said at kumunot ang noo niya. “The real question here is who did this,” he added.

The body is heavily deformed at. No spinal cord, No organs inside, Blood all over the place, nandoon na rin sa tubig dahil sa daloy nito. What happened here? Linakasan ko ang loob ko at naglakad. Linagpasan ko ang patay na tao at napatigil ako nang natanaw ko ang waterfalls. I knew something is behind this waterfalls. Naglakad ulit ako hanggang sa nakuha ko na ang angulo na kailangan ko para makita ang likod nito.

“A cave,” sabi ko at napatingin ako kay Kailani na nakasunod.

“I don’t know if the scarlet stone is there but my gut is telling me to go in there.” he replied at tumango ako.

“Right,” I said. “It’s definitely there and whatever is in there, did that,” I replied while pointing at the corpse.
