“Kanina ka pa sunod ng sunod sa akin, pakiusap tumigil ka na, hindi ako sasama,” reklamo ko habang dala-dala ang pinakuha ni mama. Para akong tanga dito na nagsasalita kasi hindi siya nakikita ng mga tao.

“Kidnapin na lang kaya kita?” bigla niyang sabi kaya napatigil ako at napatingin sa kaniya. He was smirking and it’s annoying.

“Titigil ka ba o hindi?” tanong ko

“Paano pag hindi? Isusumbong mo ako sa mama mo?” he asked sarcastically.

I was about to unleash my vines kaso biglang dumating si mama.

“May problema ba, Cygnus? Natagalan ka ata,” she said with a gentle smile at kinuha yung dala ko. She suddenly looked beside me and he was surprised. Well, pati rin ako. He suddenly smiled and my mother frowned.

“Nakikita mo rin siya, ma?” I asked and her eyes widened. Ano to? Nagka-sorpresahan ata kaming tatlo.

“Umuwi muna tayo,” she said at tiningnan niya ang katabi kong lalaki na kanina pa sunod ng sunod sa akin. “Sumama ka,” she added

Naunang naglakad si mama at sumunod kaming dalawa. Bakit parang hindi maganda ang pakiramdam ko dito? My mom looked cold and it’s damn scary kasi hindi ko pa siya nakitang ganon. It’s kind of new to me.

 “Isa kang Prinsipe, hindi ba?” she asked at nanlaki yung mata ko. How did she know in just one glance? Eh ako nga, nalaman ko na nang makita ko ang ginto niyang mata na halatang parang dragon.

Napatigil siya kaya napatigil rin kami ni mama para tingnan siya.

“Paano mo nalaman?” he asked

“That emblem,” my mom said while pointing at a crown like emblem na nakasabit sa leeg niya. Pendant ito ng isang kwintas. He smirked at napatingin sakin.

“I was wondering why someone could see me despite my rank. Now I know why, you just moved here to hide, didn’t you?” he asked at agad akong napatingin kay mama na kumunot ang noo.

“Anong ginagawa mo dito at bakit mo sinusundan ang anak ko?” she asked coldly

“I’m pretty sure you’re familiar with Oak Hills, I’m taking him there,” he answered. Ganito ba talaga ang mga prinsipe? Akala ko ba pinalaki silang may asal pero bakit parang ito, wala?

“Hindi ako papayag. Namumuhay na kami ng mapayapa dito, huwag mo na kaming istorbohin,” sagot naman ni mama

His smirk suddenly faded.

“What the hell?” he said at bigla siyang lumingon

A huge box appeared above the island at parang binagsakan kami ng matinding pressure at halos napahiga kaming lahat maliban sa kanya. He was standing normally like the pressure was nothing.

“A-A-Ano yan?!” a man exclaimed from behind at sinubukan niyang tumayo pero hindi niya kaya. The box opened and multiple shadows started appearing. My hands started trembling at napatingin ako kay mama. That’s the first time I saw her being scared.

“Akala ko … akala ko hindi aabot yan dito …” she said and glanced at me

“M-Ma, I-Is that … the P-Pandora’s Box?” I asked and she nodded slowly at napalunok ako. This island will surely vanish. I don’t wanna die like this.

“Well well well, I did not expect this to happen,” rinig ko at napatingin ako sa kanya. Why is he standing like it’s nothing?! That's Pandora's Box!

My eyes widened when he smiled and he bent down his knees. He glanced at me and his golden eyes were piercing me, including my soul. It was like he’s telling me to watch him fight.

“I’m gonna save this island pag sasama ka sa akin,” he said, “Choose,” he added with a cold voice. He’s evil. He’s pure evil!

The people started shouting kasi umaatake na yung mga shadows na galing sa box and I started panicking kasi baka madamay si mama tapos kakilala ko na rin halos lahat ng tao dito kaya nakokonsensya talaga ako. If I’m just strong enough to fight, hindi sana ako nakahiga lang dito.

“Ano na, Cygnus?” he suddenly asked and chills ran through my spine when he called me by my name. A voice with authority indeed, a prince-like voice.

“S-Save the island, p-please,” utal-utal kong sabi as I clenched my hand. If only I was stronger…

“As you wish,” he said at tumayo siya, “ but before that, I’ll make sure na sasama ka sakin,” he added and he grabbed me by my collar ar pinasandal ako sa ding-ding. Tumingin siya sa mama ko na pinipilit ang sarili niya sa pagtayo.

“S-S-Sasama nga ako,” sabi ko

“Kaya nga. I’ll seal a contract first,” he said with a smile at nanlaki ang mata ko. “Let’s be sure,” he added with a smile he ripped off my shirt showing my abdomen. A dragon-like symbol appeared on his palm at nilagay niya sa dibdib ko. I groaned in pain at napapikit na lang ako kasi hindi pa rin ako makagalaw.

“Now that you have my mark, we are already one,” he said at minulat ko ang mga mata ko.

Bigla siyang tumayo at napatingin ako sa kaniya. He started stretching at lumingon siya sa akin.

“Give me 5 minutes,” he said and he instantly vanished

I heard an explosion sa itaas at nanlaki yung mata ko nang makita siyang nakalipad gamit ang dragon wings. I’ve never seen such wings- wings made of golden scales. What kind of dragon does he have?

He extended his hand and a huge scythe made of fire appeared. In just one sway, he eliminated 10 shadows na papunta sa kaniya. He was not even making an effort, he just swayed and just like that, natalo niya yun.

Bigla siyang bumitaw ng isang nakakatakot na ngiti and he landed in front of me.

 “Ako kalabanin mo, huwag ito,” he said and a demon appeared. Halos tumayo lahat ng balahibo ko when I saw a demon with a human body but a goat head.

“W-What the?!” I exclaimed

“That’s the boss, everytime the Pandora’s box will open, there will always be a boss. Kailangan talonin yan para magsara ang box. Quite simple right? Pero pag isang S-class demon ang makakalaban mo, kamatayan mo na talaga yan- 100%” he explained at napalunok ako

“H-H-Hindi iyan S-class, hindi ba?” I asked at tumingin siya sakin with a sarcastic smile.

“Who knows,” he replied and it pissed me off. Ang swerte mo kasi hindi ako makagalaw dito, pag ako nakagalaw dito, ipapasok ko talaga ang lason sa bibig mo.

My anger vanished when the demon attacked at napaubo ako dahil sa kapal ng usok. I can’t see clearly pero ang lakas ng pagsabog na yun, sigurado akong patay si--

“Eh?” I whispered when the smoke completely went off.

The demon’s fist was on the ground while the prince was sitting at his back glancing at him. It literally gave me goosebumps. Imagine, a demon attacked you pero ginawa mo lang upoan? What the hell?!

The demon swayed it’s fist and he jumped backward and landed perfectly on the ground. The demon once again jumped to where he was standing but in just a second, he was already at the demon’s back- nakasandal sa demon to be exact.

“Boring naman,” he said and he smirked.

A huge sword made of fire appeared and he swayed it. It was fast at hindi nahagip sa paningin ko kung paano but the next thing I knew, the demon’s head fell on the ground.

“As expected from a royal blood,” biglang sabi ni mama

The pressure vanished and Pandora's Box closed and it also vanished. The people started moving and cheering. Napatingin si mama sa dibdib ako and I know she was worried.

We both glanced at him na nakasandal sa nag-aapoy niyang sandata.

“Pack your things, Cygnus, we’re going to the mainland,” he said with a smile and his power deactivated. He walked forward and bent down. “Call me Kailani,” he added
