Kaden's POV:
It hadn't been more than a few hours when our gamma wolf ran to me.
“Alpha!” He tore through the door, panting heavily, eyes lasered on me, “There is a problem.”
“What happened?” Lucien asked before I got the chance.
He went on and on about how the bells had been ringing a few minutes ago. Another attack, this one claimed more lives, the rogues were gaining more and more men than they had ever done.
“How many people were lost in the fight?” I questioned as my chest tightened and my gaze darkened.
“About thirty.”
The room went silent. About thirty lives had been claimed.
Thirty men, children or even women lost.
“Damn!” My grunt was loud, following the crash of the glassy centre table beside me that I punched hard into.
