Isabella’s POV Kaden left, and I was quick to bed. I rolled onto the mattress, lying down as I watched the ceiling, staring blankly without a thought, when I fell asleep and didn't even know it. Charles awoke me the next day for school. His hands tapped gently on my back, calling my name softly while he stared at the screen downstairs. “Mommy, it's time for school.” I yawned; the rest I had gotten, clearly not enough for me. My vision blurred, and I felt a weight underneath my eye. My head throbbed when I tried to move too fast. “I'll be down in a minute,” I told Charles while I lay back down.
