Ethan's POV By the time Ethan left his father's estate, the sun had already disappeared behind the skyline. The conversation with Richard should have answered something. Instead, it had created even more questions. He drove through the city with one hand on the steering wheel and the other resting against his jaw, replaying every word his father had said. Or rather, every word he hadn't said. Richard Wolfe had always been a master at avoiding the truth without technically lying. It was one of the things Ethan hated most about him. Every answer came wrapped in half-truths. Every conversation ended with more confusion than clarity. Tonight was no different.
