"I don't know, maybe because I'm your prince charming" he flirts and a tingle runs in my skin.
I really needed to rest. He is more than a prince charming and I don't mind his motive.
I was becoming emotional and the memory of a boy singing in the woods cross my mind.
I was running closer to him, trying to hide from the wolves that chase me, trying to escape the shadows that taunt me.
"Find her... she's a curse"
I shook on Cole's back while panting heavily and I closed my eyes.
"Are you alright Cinderella?"
"Yes" I muffled beckoning on him to keep me down, but he didn't.
Cole reached the crosswalk a distance away from the school vicinity and boarded a cab for me.
Once he placed me gently inside in passenger's seat, he paid the driver and popped his head through the window to look at me.
He looked concerned and his face, etch with a deep abiding interest.
"So...you won't be able to make it for tonight right?" He questioned, as he used his fingers to insert my stranded hair behind my ear.
"I will" i declared with determination. I'd never miss a moment with you, Cole.
He was taken aback by my statement and then sniffed. The driver had no problem with us delaying, besides, Cole paid him a handful.
"But...you don't look..."
"I'd heal up before time just tell me the location"
"Okay?" He said with uncertainty written on his face.
"Just let me pick you Cinderella, even if it doesn't necessarily have to be at your house, give me a park name or some place close by..."
If only he knows that I'm staring at his lips, if only he knows that calling me Cinderella makes my heart stops.
Maybe it's the way he treats everyone and his kindness that I can't escape.
His smile, his glances, his chuckles and breath and at this rate, I might betray Nicole.
"So what do you say?" He asked suddenly dropping my phone on my thighs. How did he get it?
Properly while I was staring at him, he took it from my hand and saved his contact on it.
I have nothing to say.
"Okay, just text me, bye Cinderella"
He took his head out and then waved at me.
I drew the tinted glass up, my whole body swells with lust now and not talking helps.
"Drive" I ordered shifting my gaze away from him and when the car was at a distance, I covered my cheeks and screamed silently.
Why is he so handsome and charming? I wasn't meant to be noticed but now I am.
I can't recall the number of times I kept yelling at myself to stop thinking about Cole.

Back to my apartment, my nightmare, staring at the door with this same reaction but this time, it's a different kind of occurrence.
My next door neighbor. It's been two hours since I returned but couldn't get rest because of the couple next door.
It's the abusive husband and his wife again. While I sit in my room, my eyes met with the knife laying on the bed.
It shouldn't be on the bed but in the kitchen after I had chopped the apple in my hand.
I was too lazy to return it.
I was sitting at the edge of the bed with a book in my hand which says;
"How to get away with murder"
I rolled my eyes to the wall that connects to that of my next door neighbor.
"Just stay calm, none of this matter" a voice whispers in my head and I stood up from where I sat.
If I'd step out, maybe my mind would be at rest and not think of murdering... greeting my neighbors.
I stepped outside my room pacing down the curved stairway and I was almost at the last step when I saw her.
Nina, their daughter. She was cuddling a teddy bear and sitting at the bottom step whimpering.
I lowered my pace and sat beside her while inhaling.
"Hey Nina" I called and she rolled her face to meet me. She gave no response and wipe her tears.
I scoop her closer to me, trying to console her. Not even the densed arena was welcoming.
"It's okay dear, dad and mom are just having a bad time"
"He's going to kill her someday and they'd always keep me locked outside" she complains, her tender body shivers and how devastated she sounds like.
"He won't, I'm here remember, we'd protect mom together" I assured trying to make her smile.
Even though the noise coming from their room could cause an earthquake.
"I want him gone" she cried as she rest her head on my left breast while my hand stroke her back gently.
"I'd make him go" I whispered and kissed the crown of her head.
She fell asleep in a short while after filling her head with lies. I carried her gently over my shoulder and paced back to my room.
I was almost opening my door when her mother came out of their house with a swollen face.
She was pertrified while using her hair to hide her face properly.
She quickly took Nina from me and just when I intended to speak to her, I received a slap from her boyfriend.
He had appeared from behind her and she wouldn't even do anything when I was just trying to protect her daughter from such a man.
"You f*****g want to abduct my daughter!"
My face swivel to the right and a memory lurks in.
The same memory of watching a man covered in a pool of blood but this time, I was holding a knife in my hand while a woman gasped in shock.
I straighten my face and folded my fingers into claws. He swiftly grabbed my collar and glared into my eyes.
"This should be the last time I see you close to my daughter! You slut!" He roared and pushed me back.
I was speechless, emotionless and all I felt like doing is...to murder.
