Lavinia glanced around but didn't see Rachel anywhere. Left with no other choice, she followed a staff member to the upper deck. "This way, miss," the staff member said politely, swiping a card to access the elevator that would take them to the top of the yacht. Once Lavinia climbed the final steps to the highest deck, the breathtaking sight stopped her in her tracks. The deck was surrounded by a ring of transparent windbreak panels, with heaters filling the air with warm currents that banished the chill of the winter night. In the center, soft amber lights glowed warmly, outlining James' tall figure in perfect detail. Under the golden glow of the lights, everything else faded into a dreamy blur, as if the rest of the world had melted away, leaving only the two of them.
