Lavinia took a few quiet steps back.
Seeing Lucas in a hospital gown, she immediately guessed he'd been admitted for some reason and had probably sneaked out just now.
Noticing Lavinia's clear aversion toward him, Lucas stopped in his tracks, his expression darkening.
Just then, Margaret's voice came from around the corner, "Lucas, your injuries aren't healed yet. How could you sneak out?"
Hearing this, Lavinia turned to leave.
But as soon as Margaret appeared, she spotted Lavinia and immediately called out, "Vivi?"
Just like with Lucas, the overly familiar tone made Lavinia feel a strong wave of nausea.
However, out of respect for Margaret as an elder, Lavinia reluctantly showed a hint of courtesy.
