Meeting the Old Friends

“Now that I am back I will make sure to protect my friends this time around but before I do that I should take a bath first to go and meet them” I muttered. After I finished bathing and eating I immediately rush to my school, the school is not too far from my apartment so I arrived quickly. When I am in the front of the school, I am suddenly filled with sadness and anger because of what happened in the past where I am still powerless and couldn’t protect them. When I think about the past I still remember the students’ screams and cries because when the Conquerors first wave arrived the school is one of the areas where they first conquered. That time me and Deiru are outside buying something and when we arrived at the school we could only hear screams and cries and when we take a peek we saw a horrible scene where the students are being dragged, thrown away and some are being eaten.

I couldn’t move because of what I saw, my knees can’t stop trembling and I can’t gather the strength to run away but thankfully Deiru grabbed me and drag me to our secret place where we always go when we cut classes. “Deiru, what the heck is that? Is that real? Are they really killing students? Is it just an act? How about Atsu, Kirth , Melward and Harry? Just what is going on? Panting*”I said rapidly while still trembling because of shock and fear. Deiru hold my both arms to make me stay in place and calm me down “Let us calm down first and sort the situation” he said. “What is there to sort out didn’t you saw it they are killing the students and if they find us, we will also be dead!” I shouted and started to tremble again. “Like I said let us calm down first because nothing good will happen if we panic” Deiru said calmly, “Yeah, you are right I should not panic” I answered and calmed myself.

“Now that you have calmed yourself down Chris, first things first what do you think are those?” Deiru asked, “I don’t know but one thing is for sure those things are not humans nor animals and they are not friendly” I answered. Deiru is in deep thinking so I also helped think “what if they are aliens?” I said, “no I don’t think that there are really aliens” I contradicted my word, “no you are right they are aliens” Deiru said, I didn’t say any word and waited for him to explain but he didn’t spoke immediately instead he checked his phone and said “did you remember about the ufo that is spotted last week?”, “what about it?” I answered. “That is an alien spaceship and it looks like that time they are just scouting but this time they are conquering our planet” he said and showed me his phone where there is a post about a photo of a bigger alien spaceship than the one a week ago and what’s more it is posted an hour ago which means it is new and he showed another post but this time it is not a photo but a video. The video is about the alien spaceship landing and some time passes there is a creature going out of the spaceship and that creature is the same as the ones we saw at school after the creature got out, tens to hundreds started to also go out. After all of them got down they started to attack humans that is close to them, that is why the humans at the back spread out and run away, some even screams and that ends the video.

I was clenching my fist out of anger then suddenly someone tapped my back and it made me wake up from my deep thought and when I looked back I saw my friends Deiru, Atsu, Kirth, Harry and even Melward who betrayed me in the past. “Hey Chris, what are you thinking that made you stay still at the front of the school?” Deiru asked. “Could it be a girl? Atsu asked jokingly. “You always have girls in your mind Atsu” Kirth said. Everyone is laughing because of what Kirth said, “Hey, if we are talking about thinking girls there’s no one that can beat Harry in that” Atsu said shifting what Kirth said to Harry. “Why am I included I didn’t even said a word” Harry complaint, everyone is laughing again. “We slip from the topic, so what are you thinking Chris? Melward asked. “I just missed you guys” I said and hugged them. They are confused but they hugged back. ‘I will really make sure that I can protect you guys this time’ I swore in my mind.
