Laying Traps

Author’s note: I am very sorry guys for not updating yesterday because I was busy doing my module, hope you understand.

It is already 6:30 am so I wake them up. Some complained because they still wanna go back to sleep but in the end they woke up. After everyone woken up we started eating breakfast and after we finished we discussed the place that we were about to visit. I placed a map at the table “I bought a map of the zone 4 yesterday for us to discuss the place where we are about to visit” I said. They nodded as a sign that they understand and waited for me to continue speaking. “First things first we are going to this place” I pointed at the area which is between two mountains namely Mt. Aspo and Mt. Oars, it is also a forest with full of trees. “Wait, this area I remember that it is a private property” Melward said. “I know and I also know that the owner of that area is far away and only visit this area once a year” I said. “But if we were caught, it will be a big trouble” Deiru said. “Like you said IF we were caught that means we just need to enter without being caught” Atsu answered. “Atsu is right and even if we were to be caught we are not living in this zone so basically no one will know who we are” I said. “But what about me?” Melward asked. “Uhmmm we will just make sure we won’t get caught” I answered. “O- okay” Melward hesitatingly replied. “And another thing Melward do you have saws and axes?” I asked. “I have but what is that for?” Melward answered and asked. “What do saws and axes use for? Of course it is for cutting trees” I sarcastically answered. “Why are we cutting trees?” Kirth asked, and all of them were also curious as to why. “All of you know when we get there” I answered.

After preparing all we needed the things we gathered and the saws and axes, we are now setting off. When we arrived at the place we saw that it is surrounded by barrages. “So what to do now?” Harry asked. “We already have come so far so we will just force our way” Atsu said. “Right, it is inevitable because we need to do this” Deiru said. After a few take of breaths we have opened up a hole which size is right enough for us to fit. “For your question a while ago about why we are cutting trees, it is because we need wood for us to set up some traps and we also need some wood so that we can attach the sharp objects and we can fight long-ranged because we can’t win by simply facing them” I said.

“In that case what traps can affect them? Surely it is not just some dug hole?” Deiru said. “Of course it is not some dug hole because Conquerors can jump 2-3 meters high even scouts of the Conquerors can already jump 2 meters, so what we need to do is a self activation trap which are trap that needs to go unnoticed and will activate itself” I explained. “What will it be? If it is the same with the one you describe ordinary weapons cannot kill them” Harry said. “That is why I have told you to gather gunpowder because for some reasons the smoke coming from gunpowder that is ignited can cause dizziness to lower level Conquerors like scouts” I replied. “So you mean is we will set a trap that if they step on it, it will explode and even if it doesn’t cause much damage they will still inhale the smoke cause by it?” Deiru explained. “Yeah you are right but it will just make them dizzy and it cannot fully kill them” I said. “Then after that, what will we do to kill them?” Kirth asked. “It is simple actually, we will just stab them with the sharp objects we collected” I answered. “What!? Can it really kill them?” Melward exclaimed. “Yeah, even if they are dizzy it is still not enough to kill them with just a stab” Atsu agreed to what Melward said.

They are all thinking about what Melward and Atsu said but they can’t come up with an answer except Deiru who have a guessed. “Don’t tell me that we will smear some poison on the sharp objects to kill them?” Deiru deduced. “Partly right and partly wrong, we will smear something on the sharp objects but it is not poison because most of the poison don’t work on them and I don’t know of one that will work” I answered. “What will we smear then?” Deiru asked. “What do you think of all the things that we collected can be smeared on sharp objects?” I asked back. “The gasoline ?” Melward muttered but can be heard. “Yes, it is the gasoline because when fuel and the blood of the Conquerors mixed it will explode but sometimes it is not enough to kill them that is why we will mixed the gasoline and gunpowder to increase it’s explosiveness” I explained. Everyone is dumbfounded when they heard what I said. After some time they returned back to their normal self and started to work. We cut down trees and cut them 3 meters and attached the sharp objects, we cut it long enough for us to be not affected when the Conquerors exploded. After that we set up traps we also made some dug holes which is when they fall they will step on something and it will make gunpowder explodes. We haven’t put the gunpowders yet because we still have next week and we also haven’t smeared the substance but we prepared it already. We have finished all the traps and all the things we needed to do by afternoon so we decided to go back to zone 3 by night.
