Orion’s POV My eyes fly open as I feel the sleep seeping out of my body. It’s almost dawn and today I resume my post at the borders. My wounds have significantly healed over the night. I’m not exactly thrilled to be reduced to a mere guard but hey, once a soldier always a soldier. I can do this and anything else, I’m just glad she didn’t decide to kill us. I get up and walk to the shower, this has been one of the longest nights of my life. I’m not even sure I slept well. I’m in the bathroom now and my thoughts turn to my mother, I can’t help worrying about her. Will she be alright?
