Chapter 21
Tunji grew up in a family of five; a father, mother and two elder sisters. All of them lived peacefully in the village until a disease hit their village. It was an epidemic. Their herbs were of no use against its rampage. They were so far away from civilization that nobody had noticed. The government had not noticed. His mother and sisters succumbed to it. His father was stronger, but he hadn’t much time left in him either. He took up drinking and took up loans he couldn’t dream of paying. Tunji had to take up the responsibility of holding together what was left of the family at the young age of sixteen.
