Eight days later the baby was named as the tradition demands. In some part Igbo land babies are named after 8 days of the giving birth to them so on this special day Nneora prepared very well and got everything ready for the naming ceremony of her great granddaughter. Many relations came to witness the naming ceremony of Mmachi's daughter. Mmachi's childhood friend was not left out for the occasion she came very early in the morning to help her preparation for the occasion foods were cooked and drinks were bought. Mmachi's uncles and aunts bought her a lot of goodies and baby things, she was very happy. The baby was dressed in a very beautiful dress specially made for the day, Cherish was very happy . Am now the biggest aunty, look at my beautiful baby, she said happily as she admires the little girl. The time for the baby finally came and one of Mmachi's uncle asked her sister Nneora the name she wants the baby to bear. It's up to my granddaughter, she knows the name she wants for her daughter. Mmachi what's the name you want for your daughter? her uncle asked. Kosarachi ( complain to God) she replied, what a beautiful name. Mr James, Mmachi's uncle replied; my brother's and sisters you have heard from the horses mouth. Her name is Kosarachi, oh yes !! it's a beautiful name. so let's welcome our new baby, everyone ate, drank to their satisfaction and also applied baby powder on their faces a prove that a new baby was welcomed in their midst.
