CHAPTER SIX
Mary drove home feeling exhausted and anxious. She had been in this deadbeat under cover job for a couple of years now. Waiting. Always waiting. Her handler had told her she needed to be imbedded in the community in order for their plan to work and that she would be rewarded with a better field job if this one went well. She had joined the Federation because they had paid for her education and promised she would travel to exotic locations. But, so all she had seen was Montana. She was disappointed but, the long-awaited plan was not finally put into motion and she was on her way to a promotion. All she had to do was follow the instructions.
