A breeze blew through the cemetery, causing the fog to swirl in random directions. To his right, Aramis caught sight of a small stone building. Two torches were lit on either side of the doorway. He wasn’t completely sure, but he thought the door was ajar. And then he had a desperate idea. “I think I see a defensible position!” he shouted. “We need to clear a path to my right. Can you manage it?” “Yes,” Mel answered. The word came out more as a gasp.
