At Alvarado’s house:
the interrogation
(Ferrari)
‘Let’s start again Mr Ferrari, why are you here?’
‘Again? But this is the umpteenth time I’ve told you this story! I’ve already told your colleagues. We had an appointment with Dr Alvarado. We rang the bell. When we didn’t get an answer, we decided to knock on the door that miraculously opened. We came in and were faced with that gruesome scene. You know the rest, if I'm not mistaken!’.
This policeman is the final straw on a day that’s turned out to be just about as bad as it could be. After the little intrusion into the house with Tancredi, our blood froze on first seeing Salus’ lead researcher.
Or, at least, on seeing his corpse.
He’d hanged himself at the bottom of the staircase banister.
