There seemed to be a common enemy for the wolves and humans. This enemy made sure all caution was thrown to the wind. No one cared about the consequences of their own actions and those that did were still at a disadvantage. Mates, whether fated or chosen, were supposed to be the best thing that happened to a wolf, yet this enemy made sure to blur the lines so vehemently that it barely existed. Who would be brazen enough to come between mates, one would ask? Or was fate just a rumor? Another would ask.
