TRAPPED

Chapter 2 Raina ran. Her legs were screaming, her lungs burning, but every street, every shadow, felt alive with danger. She had thought she had escaped him—the man she had only glimpsed that night. But the memory of his piercing gaze haunted her. A voice echoed in her mind, cold and relentless: He saw you. Hours later, as she hid in an empty alley, she heard the faint hum of engines. Her heart froze. Shadows moved, and before she could react, strong hands grabbed her from behind, muffling her scream. “Please… let me go!” she gasped, struggling, but it was useless. “Quiet,” a deep voice ordered. Raina’s eyes widened in terror as she was dragged into a sleek black car. She didn’t know who these men were—but their obedience, their silence, told her all she needed to know. Someone powerful had sent them. The car stopped, and she was pushed out roughly. She stumbled, trying to get a glimpse of her surroundings. The doors opened, and the dark silhouette of a man filled the doorway. Tall. Broad. Impossibly commanding. His presence alone made her knees weak. Luca Moretti. Her breath caught. He didn’t even need to speak; the sheer weight of him demanded attention. His sharp eyes scanned her as though measuring every flaw, every fear, every heartbeat. “Bring her inside,” he said calmly to two of his men. “I want her in my office.” Raina froze. “Your office?” she whispered, panic clawing at her throat. He didn’t answer her. Instead, he walked past her, tall and confident, as if she were already his possession. She was herded into a massive building, silent but alive with danger, and finally pushed into a room—his office. The door slammed behind her. The room was enormous. Expensive. Menacing. And completely empty—except for the man who had captured her. “Sit,” he commanded softly, and she obeyed, trembling. Luca leaned against his desk, watching her like a predator studying its prey. The silence stretched, thick and suffocating. Fear, fascination, and adrenaline coursed through her veins. “You saw something tonight,” he said finally, his voice low, measured. “And now… you are in my world. One wrong move, and you won’t leave it alive.” Raina swallowed hard, her hands clenching in her lap. How do I survive a man like this? He stepped closer, the shadow of danger pressing in from every angle. “For now,” he said, his lips curling into a faint, dangerous smile, “you stay here. And you remember… I see everything.” The door clicked shut behind him. Alone, trapped, and shaking, Raina realized the horrifying truth: she was completely at his mercy.
