(Andrea POV)
I opened my eyes and I blinked my eyes a few times to adjust to the bright light. I looked around and there was no one around me. I take in the white boring walls of the hospital and the not-so-familiar smell of the medicines with antiseptic hits my nose. I glared at the loud beeping machine, which was enough to ruin anyone’s peace. I took a deep breath but then a haunting thought entered my mind.
“Did they leave me alone here?” My heart raced in shock and fear. The beeping increased and my room’s door opened quickly. Two doctors and several nurses entered my room.
“Thank god, Mrs.Lombarid. How are you feeling now?” The young doctor said and plastered a professional smile on his face.
“I am g-good,” I answered and realized my voice turned hoarse.
