I peeled open my eyes and looked around. Everything seemed new and foreign. I touched my forehead, and a bandage was present on my forehead. Everything came to my mind, including Godmother’s request, Sera’s trap, and that fight with her bodyguards.
“F*ck! Did they really sell me off to a psychopath?” I mumbled under my breath and gulped hard. An IV drip was attached to the back of my hand. I pulled it off with a loud wince. A wave of pain shot through my arm and blood oozed out of that wound. I got up from bed, but something wasn’t feeling right.
