Chapter Two
Hailey’s POV
I quickly turned around to realize it was none other than Daisy. She was up to her old tricks. Pulling me by the hair. Guess we are back to bullying.
“Let me go!” I tried to be free from her grip but it was as stiff as glue. “Daisy!”
“Now walk b***h” she spat. She tightened her hold around my hair and shoved me forward. I had to hold unto the root of my hair to prevent her from ripping my hair off my scalp.
“Move it!” she barked. “It would give me great joy to rid your head of hair” she smirked.
Alice laughed the loudest. She was latest recruit of Daisy’s minions. “Let us see how she would flaunt these beautiful bouncy blonde curls” everyone in their group stopped laughing and turned to face her.
Daisy narrowed her eyes at her. “Get out” she said, her voice filled with disgust. Alice was the one who tried to belong but she didn’t have the devil’s spirit in her. She had, in the past commented on how beautiful my hair was to the envy of Daisy until she joined the group.
“Daisy let go off my hair!” I yelled one more time but that was ineffective. She yanked my hand back and I yelled.
“Aargh!!! Daisy stop!”
“Less talking and more moving b***h” she said in gritted teeth. “We haven’t given you, a welcome package yet for the session”
I watched as people just stared at us, as we made our way of class. No one made a move to save me. Well this has been a normalcy since I got into this school.
Daisy was the school Queen. You know those ones who lead a set of girls and they think they are the ‘IT' girls. Yes that’s Daisy. She was beautiful but behind that face was a black heart.
Ever since I transferred to Moon stone high, my life took a drastic turn. I dreaded coming to school. I was the new girl who no guy wanted except for Devlin.
You see Devlin was the handsome and popular school captain. He had tall legs, with toned and chiseled arms. Looking at him felt like, a model had just walked out of a magazine.
Don’t get me started on his face. His slightly pink lips begged to be kissed and he carried around him an easy grace. What was not to like about in Devlin. Beefing him was like being enemies with a god. He was always good at everything he does. To top it all, he was the Alpha’s son of his pack.
So when Devlin began to comment on the little things about me, I didn’t notice, people began to pick interest in me. It was then declared I had beautiful blonde hair in school. Devlin didn’t particularly say he liked me but he made me laugh with his little comments about me. Unluckily for me, his likeness did not move past that stage. Meanwhile I began crushing hard on him. While the kids saw me as boring. I was a whole different person online. I have books I had authored win awards and I command a fan ship that ran in millions with my books.
Devlin didn’t make any move on me so I resorted to admiring him from afar, using his image in my head as my book male leads. With that, I was able to leave a quiet life but would my life be quiet with Daisy present in it?
The moment she realised Devlin spoke to me, I became her number one enemy. First she shot daggers at me as I crossed the hallway till it gradually became a full blown bully issue.
From a reliable source I was told Daisy had wanted Devlin since middle school, but Devlin was the opposite.
Daisy couldn’t understand why Devlin would leave her and be interested in a bookish girl with reflective glasses, like me. In school I was known as the boring one so why me.
As we walked through the halls, people pointed at us, and their eyes widened in shock. Yeah for the first time, Daisy was openly bullying me. Everyone in school knew there was a huge penalty for such issue but Daisy didn’t seem to care.
We got to the bathroom and she shoved me inside.
“Stand outside!” she ordered her minions. I heard the door smack close and the lock click.
Now I was alone with her in the bathroom. My chest rose and fell as I stared at her. Partly fear, partly anger. Partly disbelief.
“You know this is against the rules and I will waste no time in reporting you to the WCOC” I said in gritted teeth.
Daisy chuckled. “Touché’ I will love to see you try” she ended with a sneer. She was a transitioned werewolf and I was the one yet to transition. Obviously I was no match for her. This was why the committee of werewolves, the WCOC put rules in places. Bullying from a transitioned one to a not yet transitioned person was a crime but here was Daisy, doing it without fear.
She began to walk closer and I wanted to move back but for a weird reason I stood my ground.
Daisy moved with the speed of light and shoved me hard. I hit my back against the wall and it hurt like hell.
She began to laugh. “Is that all you’ve got?”
She moved to slap me and with strength from no where I held her hands and in the process, she flung my glasses away from my eyes.
Daisy gasped as she beheld my face: golden eyes, pointed small nose and a plump pink lip. I could see the hate pass through her eyes, she moved to smash my glasses but I was quick. I pushed her to the sink and grabbed my glasses. I swiftly picked a mop stick and aimed at her. She tried to come at me but I used the stick mop to beat her constantly all over her body.
“I will show you” she growled. Her nails began to turn to claws and her dentition began to show. I gasped. Daisy was about to transition. I held firmly to the mop stick ready to smack her in the head when the bathroom door was suddenly yanked open.
A tall guy walked in and held her, as she pushed me away.
“Don’t you dare bully my sister!” he growled at me.
I recognized him as Asher. He and Daisy are siblings.
I scoffed. “Assholes” imagine the audacity of the pot calling the kettle black. In fact I was no kettle. I had no single bullying bone in me.
I grabbed my glasses. I fixed them properly on my face, and shoved Asher out of my way.
On my way home, I got on a call with Lilith. I went on a venting spree about Asher and his sister and the school. My anger was on why Asher was the more popular one in school. He was a bully too. He was above Devlin and that annoyed the hell out of me. I have heard how arrogant and notorious Asher has been in school. I always felt Devlin was far better but he wasn’t the most popular one in school.
But then a question boggled me. What if Asher tries to bully me? What will I do?
