CHAPTER 26
"HAILEY'S POV"
"No," Father replied.
"Okay Father," I said.
"Why did you ask?" Father said.
"Nothing," I answered.
"I just feel like you might want to tell me something," I added.
I could tell Father seemed unsatisfied by my answer by the look on his face.
I then decided to change the topic as I did not want him to ask me any more questions.
"I love the dresses Ruby picked out for me," I said.
"I can't wait to wear them," I added.
"I'm glad you love it," Father said, as he stood up.
He then called out to two of the workers in the mansion and asked them to place the shopping bags that contained my birthday dresses in my room.
"You should go and get some rest," He added, looking at me.
"Okay Father," I said, as I walked behind the workers who carried the shopping bag
