CHAPTER 54
"HAILEY'S POV"
I was woken up by a knock on my door the next morning as I slowly opened my eyes.
"Who is it?" I asked, as I got out of bed.
I then immediately walked towards the door and as I opened it, I saw Asher.
"Good morning," He said.
He was already dressed and I could tell he was ready for the council meeting.
"Can we talk Hailey?" He asked.
"I couldn't sleep," He added.
"Yes," I nodded in agreement as he walked into my room.
"Sit," I said, as I sat right next to him.
"I'm really sorry about last night Hailey, I think I must just have been affected by everything that was happening that I didn't think about what I was doing," He uttered.
I didn't know what I was expecting Asher to say to me but it was definitely not that.
