"ASHER'S POV"
As the driver drove me to the pack council meeting, my thoughts were preoccupied with my recent exchange with Hailey.
I grappled with a sense of unease following our previous conversation.
I had not expected Hailey to agree to be just friends as I said that to her only out of fear of losing our friendship.
I spent the entire night thinking about Hailey and the kiss which made me realize I might have feelings for Hailey.
I didn't understand when and how it happened, but all I knew was I was madly and helplessly in love with her.
