[Sophia] We told the Twins to wait at the tree house while we changed back into comfortable clothes. I just put on a comfy shirt, some sweat pants and my purple jacket. Apollo came back with just a black tank top and some shorts. When we got back, the Twins were waiting for us and soon we started discussing all the things we found at Teri's castle. The clues and items we found somehow just didn't fit, no matter how many times we rotated the pieces. The crown, the note, the ruined book, the broken room. None of it really made sense. I didn't really join in the conversation itself. I just listened to what everyone else was saying and tried to piece together the clues myself. As everyone conversed, I started thinking about my own possible theories. The crown and the note... maybe Teri's Mother knew she had to leave and left behind the crown as a symbol that she had to handle things on her own now? And maybe the book was there to teach her things she hadn't known about before? But that still doesn't explain why the book was damaged... or was it like that before...? Maybe the book was already ruined and her Mother didn't know until... I didn't share any of my ideas with the others, there just wasn't enough evidence to prove it. I was just as confused as the rest, but as the conversation went on I began to daze again. So I didn't really understand what anyone was talking about. Then again, I don't understand anything. Then I realized I was dozing and tried to pick myself back up and focus on what everyone was saying, but by the time I did, the serious conversing ended. "Well, I guess we just have to search for more clues and hope that Teri finds something that might make this all make sense." Apollo said. "Agreed. Maybe we should just rest for now and wait until Teri returns with more information," the Twins answered. Apollo stood up. "Well, if we're not going to do anything else here, we might as well go back to the house. Are you coming, Sophie?" I looked up. "Hm? Oh, yeah." I stood up and started following him. "We'll come too," the Twins said. "Okay." We all walked back to the house and made ourselves comfortable. Apollo looked around in the cabinet and pulled out a bag of chips and sat down on the couch. I was in the kitchen making myself a PB&J sandwich. I used to make these myself when I came back from school. Because, I never really packed a decent lunch. It was only a 35 minute break, so why bother having a full lunch? I don't have time to make sandwiches for lunch before school. Plus, they get really soggy and gross after you pack them and they just don't taste right. I don't trust school lunches either. Seriously, do you know what they put in those things? I usually just pack myself a granola bar and a yogurt. That's enough to get me through the day. But it's more like half lunch, and making a sandwich makes it a full lunch for me. Anyway, I was making a nice sandwich for myself until the Twins came over and asked what I was making. "I'm just making a sandwich," I said. "Well, what is it?" "It's a sandwich. With jelly and peanut butter," I explained. The Twins looked at each other. "You want me to make one for both of you?" I asked nicely. "Is it good?" Flyboy asked. "How good is it?" Fleetfoot chimed?" "It's pretty good. Want me to make you one?" "Sure," they said together. I finished making my sandwich and started on theirs. They watched me make it, fishing out the jelly from the bottom of the jar and smoothing out the peanut butter onto the bread. To finish it off, I cut it triangle ways and handed the plate in front of them. "Sorry, there's not enough jelly for two sandwiches, so you okay splitting that?" "Okay." I kinda thought they'd be okay sharing it. I started eating my sandwich, but the Twins looked at it for a minute. "Sophia, is the sandwich supposed to be this... messy?" the Twins asked. I nodded. "Yeah, that's what makes it good." I said with a mouthful of peanut butter. The Twins looked at their slices again. They were a little unsure at first. Until they took a small bite of their slices and suddenly had a surprised look on their faces. I took a huge, messy bite out of my sandwich, small globs of jelly falling out onto the plate. They finished their sandwich just after I finished mine. "Wow, this is really good," Fleetfoot said. "Yeah, I haven't had anything this good in a long time," Flyboy commented. I smiled as I took their plate and put it in the sink along with mine. "Hey, Sophia?" "Yeah?" I looked up. "There's something we want to know," they said. "Yeah, what is it?" "Back at Teri's castle. When she was trying to figure out the note," Fleetfoot started. "How did you know to hold it up to the light to read it?" Flyboy finished. I didn't really know how to explain it to them. "Um... well, I've kinda seen it before. Sort of. It's just a clever thing some people would do if they wanted to tell someone something important without other people knowing." I tried to define. "That's interesting," Flyboy said. "Why would her Mother do that if she was just trying to say something to Teri?" Fleetfoot wondered. I started to wonder about that myself. But all I could say was, "I don't know, but that's a good question." I don't know if you've figured this out either, but I'm not very good at explaining myself. In fact, I've constantly struggled with it. It wasn't until I dropped out of school that I realized that it was one of the main problems I faced while I was at school. But nobody seemed to understand that. When I figured out the note, I think I have to admit it was probably just clever thinking. Soon after, the Twins sit down with Apollo and ask what he's doing. When I finished in the kitchen, I went upstairs to my room. At first, I wanted to be focused on figuring out the clues for myself to see if I could put them together, but very soon my mind wandered. And it just kept wandering until it wandered so far it stopped looking back. I looked at the mess on my desk. There was an unfinished drawing and a few other papers on the desk. I didn't think twice. I took out my phone and hooked them up to my headphones and sat down at the desk, finishing what I started. Turns out I was there for a really long time and I was unaware of how much time had really passed. And I didn't just finish the unfinished drawings, I actually started a few other ideas that I had come up with, and by the time I finished the last one I was running out of songs to play and ideas to create. And then I decided to actually look at the time. Geez, it's almost 12! Soon after, I heard Apollo walking up the stairs and saying goodnight to the Twins, who stayed back on the couch. I heard a door close as I unhooked my phone and set the headphones down on the desk. I did consider going back downstairs for just a little something to snack on, but the Twins were downstairs aaaaannnd yeah, maybe not. So I just cleaned up a bit, put all my tools away and changed into something more comfy. I closed the window and opened the blinds ever so slightly and turned off the lights. I flopped on my bed on top of the many pillows that I just so happen to own and browsed the internet for a while. Fan-art, other nice drawings, funny posts, stupid posts, stupid posts that were funny, posts that were supposed to be funny but were actually stupid, and the occasional cute and funny animals and pets. And then I switched over to Youtube to see what was featured and watched as much as I felt like until I started getting sleepy.
