Meanwhile...

[Apollo]

At this point, Apollo was starting to get a little annoyed by all the questions the Twins were asking. He understood that they didn't know very much about what goes on up here, but he was just tired of explaining so much to them. He tried to think of something else to talk about.

"So, why did you think it was so dangerous up here?"

"Well, for as long as we've known, we always just thought that it was," they said in unison.

"There have been a few times we thought of exploring the outside world," Fleetfoot continued.

"But we were too nervous to actually do it. So we stayed in those caves thinking we'd be safe." Flyboy added.

Apollo thought this was strange, since that's pretty much what Teri had said when they asked her about it. As he thought, he looked up into the trees and surveyed his surroundings. Still no signs of anything unusual.

Without warning, the ground began to shake underneath them. The Twins yelled in fear and Apollo clung to the nearest tree and held on tight. And as soon as it started, it suddenly stopped. Apollo slowly pushed himself away from the tree and regained his balance.

"What was that?"

Apollo looked up at them. "I think it was an earthquake."

"What's an earthquake?" they stammered.

"It's when... uh... the ground shakes for a moment. I think this one was a small one," Apollo explained.

He didn't feel like it was the right time to go into the details unless he wanted to get swamped by questions again.

"You mean they can get bigger?"

"Yeah sometimes. But it's okay, we're okay now." Apollo reassured them.

"Is that normal?" they asked.

"Yeah, it's totally normal. It's just rare sometimes."

Apollo looked around to make sure everything was okay. The trees swayed a little and leaves fell softly, but there was no sign of any damage.

"Let's keep going."

And so they continued on. But Apollo thought this was pretty strange. The first one happened only a few days ago, so maybe it was just an aftershock? He didn't hear anything about it on the news, or any other platform. He thought about this as they pressed on.
