The Butterfly Girl: A Star is Born

Teri and the Twins raced into the trees, hoping Apollo and Sophia had escaped from danger. They looked everywhere, calling their names and listening for any sort of reply. Unfortunately, they found no such trail.

"Where do you think they could be?" Teri asked.

"We don't know, we just saw Apollo run after Sophia after she was taken." the Twins replied.

"Did you see where they went?"

"We're not sure, we didn't exactly see because we went to rescue you instead."

"Well, we gotta keep looking for them, they might still be in trouble."

The Twins nodded and they started looking around to where they thought they saw Apollo run off to. Teri loosely followed behind, also looking around and occasionally calling out to them in hopes that one of them might appear. Or there would be some sort of trail that lead them closer.

"Are you sure this where you thought you saw them?" Teri asked.

"Not really." said Fleetfoot.

"But they had to have come this way," Flyboy added.

Teri sighed but didn't allow herself to be defeated. She wouldn't give up so easily. She looked around more closely to see if she could find any sort of clue. But she didn't seem to notice anything. That was until she noticed something bugging her eye. She looked up and spotted something in the distance. Something shiny. She stepped over to the shiny thing and bent down to get a closer look. The ground around her was slightly damp, and what lay in front of her was a broken ice shard that was beginning to melt.

"Guys, over here! I think I found something!"

The Twins quickly rushed over to where Teri was and knelt down to what she was looking at. Teri picked up the melting shard and turned it over in her webbed hands. She recalled that Apollo had the ability to summon fire and ice. This must've been one of his attempts at an attack on the beast that was carrying Sophia.

"What is it?" the Twins asked.

Teri looked up and spotted a few more damp areas in the ground and what appeared to be some loosely kicked up dirt. She stood up and realized that this might've been where they came through.

"This way." Teri directed and started off, following the trail of c*****e for as long as they could.

"Do you think they went this way?" the Twins asked.

"It looks like it. I hope that they're okay."

They all wander around the area, picking up the trail until they start to run forward. If Apollo wasn't able to catch up to her, then Sophia must've been dragged around somewhere.

"It doesn't look like they're here," said the Twins.

"Well, they have to be somewhere. That creature couldn't have gone far." Teri stammered. She ran off ahead into the trees as the Twins stared at her, worriedly from behind. They caught up to her soon and surveyed the area. A couple of broken branches and kicked up rocks were scattered everywhere. Teri looked confused, but continued to put on a brave face.

"It's alright Teri, they've fought those things before," Flyboy mentioned.

"Yeah, they're strong. They're probably looking for us too," Fleetfoot added.

Teri let out a deep breath, "Yes, I know. You're right. But we can't give up, I'm not giving up on them. C'mon!" Teri once again rushed off into the distance and the Twins followed closely behind her.
