[Sophia]
The room around me feels blurred at first, until I notice that I'm seeing everything in black and white. I seem to be in some sort of building. Papers are strewn everywhere, strange writing and drawings are scribbled on them, but they're all messy and blurred so I can't read any of it.
I walk around quietly. It's darkly lit. Some areas are bright, but others remain dark.
Empty rooms and hallways were all I could find. Until I noticed a set of stairs leading down. I carefully and quietly stepped downwards. I see myself in third person and I watch as I walk down the stairs. My eyes lighting up the dark light a flashlight. I step in a repeated motion, watching myself as I step further into darkness.
It might've been only a few seconds or minutes but it felt like this stairway was stretching into forever. Felt like hours. Until everything around me was completly dark and I found an old door in front of me. I stopped at the bottom. Curious, yet nervous. Anything could be behind a door. But only you get to decide if you want to go through it.
I slowly reached a hand towards the doorknob and twisted it slowly. The door groaned and creaked loudly. I opened the door just a c***k to look whatever was in the other room. From the other side, I saw myself opening the door but I didn't see what was in the room. Through the c***k in the door I saw my left eye peaking through. The only color within the darkness.
As I opened the door, my red eye widened in shock.
