Chapter two getting to know the new girl

Brittney's point a view

It's day two of the new school year which I'm looking forward too but also I've been looking forward to getting to know the girl who's My and Jammie's new neighbor, as I woken up from a deep sleep of good dreams that's when I herd a knock on the door and thee only one I can think of knocking on the front door at this hour of a sunny morning is Scarlett.

But before I could even answer the door My mother had answered it and that's when I saw that she saw her and so I walked towards her and told her that I would take it from here and with that My mother walked away into the kitchen. just then that's when she spoke.

Scarlett: hey good morning beautiful!

Brittney: hey what are you doing here so early in the morning?

Scarlett: well I was wondering if you could give me a ride to school?

Brittney: you're going already? I thought you were going to be taking time to get all settled in?

Scarlett: ya about that I just can't take it any more seeing My father feel the way he is and not talking to me it's just way to depressing and I can no longer take it another day.

Brittent: okay well we are still getting ready............ect.but you can come in and make yourself at home while you wait.

Scarlett: okay thank you!

Brittney: your welcome!

After inviting Scarlett in I went up to My room to get ready and as I did I just felt so bad that her own father wont talk to her let alone be there for her when and if she needs him. any ways after getting ready I headed back down as I saw Jammie talking to her which is fine by me I want them to get to know each other too just then that's when My sister said something to me.

Jammie: are you ready Britteny?

Brittney: just a minute I have to find My car keys.

Jammie: oh okay they are on the kitchen counter where you left them.

Brittney: okay thanks!

just as I grabbed My car keys My mother had asked me a question about Scarlett and so I had told her who she is.........................................after that that's when Scarlett,Jammie and I headed out the door for our second day well it's My and Jammie's second day but Scarlett's first day............................................................................................................................ as we arrived at school I saw how Scarlett was feeling,I knew that was the time for me to have a privet chat with her,so I told My sister that if she wants she can go ahead and head inside the school and with that she did,anyway Scarlett and I stayed back so we can talk I had asked her what's worrying her as I see the pain in her eyas she felt so hurt and sad with what she has gone through I wanted to be there for her and to tell me everything and not hold it back.

Britteny: Scarlett are you okay? talk to me what's wrong?

after asking her to talk to me she stared at me then turned and walked away and from the looks of it it looked as if she was heading back from once we came I had to catch up to her to get her to talk even though I took that as a hint that she didn't want to but I needed to know so I can be with her every step of the way and so when I did catch up to her I put my hand on her and turned around and said.

Brittney: Scarlett please don't walk away please talk to me I want to be here for you.

Scarlett: I can't (with a sadness look upon her face)

Brittney: what do you mean you can't I am here for you I will listen to how you feel I don't want you to be afraid of telling me.

Scarlett: I can't do this I can't just leave My dad by himself I should be there for him.

Brittney: you can't always be there for there for him you have to do your own thing like go to school like I can take you back home but then I would be late for class but I'll tell you what I will text My sister and have her tell them that I am sick and you and I can spend the whole day together. how dose that sound to you?

Scarlett: you would do that for me?

Brittney: of course.

Scarlett: okay.

and with that we got back into the car and before I left the school grounds I sent a text to My sister letting her know what's going on and what I needed her to say.

Jammie's point a view

As my sister stays behind to have a chat with Scarlett I decide to head in the school so I can go to My locker to get the book"s I need for the classes I have today and just as I got to My looker I herd My cell buzz and so that is when I saw the text that My sister had sent me.

Brittney: Jammie I need you to do me a favor if any one ask's just tell them I'm sick I caught some kind of virus.

Jammie: what why?

Brittney: because they can not know the real truth or else they will call mom at her job and we can not have that.

Jammie:okay. but can you tell me why your really not going to be here and how will I get home when school is done for the day?

Brittney:don't worry I will be picking you up from school and as for the truth Scarlett is having hard time with what she is going through so I'll be spending the day with her so she don't feel alone with what's going on with her dad.

Jammie:okay.

after texting with My sister that's when the bell rang for the first class to start witch was English for me.

Brittney's point a view

As soon as I was done letting My sister know what I needed her to know I drove off and took Scarlett back home and lets just say her dad didn't even notice she was gone all because he sits in his room,I hated that I hated how he could just ignore Scarlett he has no idea the pain she is dealing with I wanted to bust in his room so bad and tell him what he's doing to his own daguter but I knew that would not go so well I most likely make Scarlett mad at me where she would tell me to leave and so with that I just followed her up to her bed room,as we got in her room that's when she turned a round to talk to me.

Scarlett: I want to say thank you for skipping your second dayof school to be with me even though you didn't have to.

Brittney: your welcome and it's okay it's My last year any ways not missing any thing that I already know and I rather be here and support you on what your dealing with.

Scarlett: but wouldn't your mom be upset at you if she was to find out you skipped school just to be here with me?

Brittney: well as along every thing goes okay she wont know.

Scarlett: well thanks again for being here.

Brittney: your welcome.

after that it went silent for a few till she was ready to talk some more,

Scarlett's point a view

I can't believe this is happening Brittney is such a good person to skip school and spend the whole day with me although I do feel bad I didn't want her to really do that but she knew that I am going through an emotional time and I am forever grateful for her kindness.

As I saw her stare at me while she's sitting on My bed that's when I started to speak but before I could even do that she had started the conversation before I did.

Brittney: so I would like to get know you more do you think you can tell me everything there is to know about you?

Scarlett:well it's a lot to know are you really up for me to tell you My life?

Brittney: well I have nothing better to do except pick up My sister later when school ends so ya I am absolutely sure I want to know all about you.

Scarlett: okay well here it goes (with a smile on her face)

Brittney: wow that''s a lot I am sorry that you went through all that.

Brittney's point a view

After Scarlett told me about her life it Nada me want to really go give her father a piece of My mind where he needs to get it together for the sake of his daughter she is really hurting and he thinks that he's thee only one hurting when he's not. but before I did I asked her first to see if it's okay wasn't going to do with out asking her first I don't want or need her upset at me and with that I asked her and she said she would be glad that I did and so that's when I told her I would be back.............a few moments later I ended up at Scarlett's dad bedroom door I knock on the door and waited to see if he would answer it, just before I was about to force My self into the room that's when I saw the door knob turn.

Scarlett's dad: yes can I helpyou?

Brittney: hi I'm Scarlett's friend Brittney I live right next door to you guys I was wondering if I can have a moment of your time I really need to have a chat with you.

Scarlett's dad : I really don't mean to come out at you like this but I don't want to talk to any one right now.

Britteny: well when will you be ready you know what for get it your going to listen to me rather you don't want to hear it your daughter needs your you'er supposed to be there for her but yet you are in your room with the door shut you are the one that needs to pervid for her not thee other way around. I don't mean no disrespect in your house but your not the only one who's hurting and lost a loved one she is to she misses her mom as well as you miss your wife. she told me what happen and I am sorry she lost the battle to cancer but your wife would not want you to live like this, you moved here to start over so do so your wife would want that she is looking down on you and see's that your still not happy and moving on show that your care for Scarlett get your ass up and out of this room and be the dad she expects you to be and know one more thing you didn't relazie she wasn't here that's right she tried to start her first day of school today, I gave her a ride and when we got there she couldn't. why is that?well she felt like she absolutely abandoned you and that's how you should feel rather then her your her father so suck it up and be the good father you are for she loves you so much.

After I said what I needed to say I walked away and went back to Scarlett leaving him alone in his shame I'm sure he didn't like what I had to say but he needed to hear it even though he didn't...as I got up to Scarlett's room I told her that I had talk to her father and that I hope he comes to his senses that's when she hugged me and said thank your for being here,I told her any time.

(hours later)

After having alone time with Scarlett I notice that it was time for me to leave and go pick up My sister from school,I had told Scarlett that I would be back and that if she wanted she could come to my house and she said okay and with that I walked out of her room and headed for the front door,as I was I herd him call out to me,that's when I turned around right when he started to say something and it was words that I wanted to hear from him it mad me happy to hear it.

Scarlett's dad: your right I need to be there for her.

and with that he walked away and I started to walk out the door.................... I got into My car and turned My keys into the ignition. and drove off to pick up My sister from school.....................................and as I got there I saw her standing out side by the enternce of the school.so I beep my car horn for her to come and get in and as she done that we headed back home, I asked her if any one notice I was gone and she said that no one suspected that I wasn't at school and with that it went silent as I drove us back home.

Jammie's point a view

It's My third period class and none has said any thing about My sister not that I was hopping they would cause if they did I would have to tell them what My sister had told me to say, so with that I have the hope to not lie all day I just did My class work.............as I am here in school doing just that all I could think about is what's happening on My sister's end then again I don't want to know but I do hope that every thing is okay with Scarlett I feel so bad that she is going through so much,I wish there was a way to help her but I just don't know how except to be there for her because she has no one else to turn to having her as neighbor is awesome...................................................................................................................as the day went buy so fast I had notice that it was almost time to get out of here I just hope My sister hadn't for gotten about me because I do need a ride back home and there's no other way for me to get back home except walk and it's a very long walk from the school to My house.

As thought's where running through My mind I had herd a voice a voice that sounded so lovely at first I didn't know that voice was saying something to me so I had turned around and there she was she looked like an angel and just then she spoke and it was to me.

Angel: hi you must be Jammie?! I'm Rose!.

Jammie: hi!

Rose: I know we only just met but I just had to come over and say hello.

Jammie:okay well it's nice too meet you Rose.

Rose: so what are your plans after school? I would love to get to know you,you seem such a lovely person I do like you.

Jammie: have no clue really.

Rose: oh okay would you like to hang out when school is over for the day?

Jammie: I can't sorry.

Rose: okay maybe some other time then.

and with that she walked away why me why did she come over to me and why dose she like me????????? she don't even know me all the thought where going through My mind........................................................just then the school bell rung and that means it is the end of the school day,so I walked out of My last class and headed to My locker to put My books and things that I didn't need to take home with me,then after I head straight for the double doors and went out hoping that My sister is here and hadn't for gotten about me just then that's when I saw her sitting there waiting fo me.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................as we arrived home I asked her how it went with Scarlett,she told me what she did witch had me shocked that she said all that to Scarlett's dad.after she told me what happened while I was at school I told her what happen when she wasn't at school.

Scarlett's point a view

When Brittney left to go pick up her sister that's when all a sudden I herd a knock on My bedroom door and so I went to go open the door to see who it was and that's when I saw him standing there looking at me with a suprise on his face as if he thought I wouldn't answer the door to see him there,that's when he had said he wanted to sit down and talk with me about every thing that had been going on. and that's when I stepped aside to let him in,then he walked to My bed and sat down while I stood infront of him with just five inches apart to hear what he had to say to me.......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Scarlett's dad:please for give me darling I should of been there for you I know it wasn't fare to you I want you to know I do care and love you very much and not only me but your mom as well is so very proud of you.

and that's when I told him that I do to and that is okay even though it's not but I'm glad to have you back and not hiding in your room where mom wouldn't be happy to see what's going on. and with that he stood up walked a little closer to me and put his arms around me and gave a great big hug and told me the words I've been wanting to hear for so long and the thanks.

I owe it all too Brittney if it wern't for her I don't think My dad would come to his senesce and now that he has I am finally happy with so much joy.

Brittney's point a view

After bringing My sister back home from school we both had a conversation on what both of us had missed,then after that's when I headed over to see Scarlett to see how she was doing since I left to go pick up Jammie............................as I got to her front door I knocked and who I saw that I didn't think would answer was her dad,before I could say something that's when he had spoken up first,when Scarlett herd him talk to me she had come walking over to see what's going on but before he allowed us to talk he wanted to talk to me first.

Scarlett's dad: so before I have to talk to you I would like to properly introduce Myself My name is Gary Print but you can call me Mr.Print and now I got My name out of the way you can come in and take a seat on the couch so we can talk about what had happen before you had left.

And with that he did he told me every thing most of it is what I had already heard from Scarlett which I had told him and he said okay,then after our chat Mr.Print left to do his thing mean while Scarlett came over and ask if we could go for a walk which I had no problem with cause I was going to ask her if she wanted to so we can talk privately...............................................................................................

Scarlett's point a view

When I found out that Brittney too wanted to do what I wanted to do I was happy and so we both head out My front door to go for a walk and talk about everything and since she got to know me as the new girl I wanted to know about her too as the new girl in My life..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Jammie's point a view

As I sit at My desk by the window that's when I saw the two of them walking I had no clue what it was that they where doing but I guess they are going for a walk since it's nice out to day.

Britney's point a view

As we walked she told me she want to get to know me and with that I told her about me she asked almost every question that there was to think of,lets just say I've answered every single one that she wanted to know about me............................. when we got to end of our street we turned back around where we had walked hand in hand, I could see she really liked me and she knew how much I liked her too. but as soon as we got close to our house we had let go of each others hand we didn't want to be caught holding hands I mean My sister knows but her dad and My parents have no clue what sexuality we are and we are just not ready to come out and tell them.

Mr.Print's point a view

I know I did wrong and I'm so glad to make amends with My daughter I wanted her to know that I will never let her be alone no matter what the situation is and that Brittney girl seems like a very nice child who is very supportive for My daughter.as I'm busy cooking dinner for My daughter and I I''ve came across the sound of laughter coming through the front door and so I just kept on cooking a nice meal for My daughter and I.

Scarlett's point a view

As Brittney and I walked into My house we both could smell the delicious food and that's when it hit me My dad was actually cooking for us.....................................just then us girls head up to My bedroom just to have a normal conversation just incase My dad was to hear us.

Brittney's point of a view

Just as we finished hanging out that's when I herd her dad call her for dinner and that's when it was My que to head back home.............................................................. as we got to her front door I turned around and gave her a hug and whispered in her ear as she did to me then with those words I went out of the door way and walked back over to My house.
