“Young Bella, I know you have no idea about anything going on here right now.” Rhaskah said using his claws to draw lines on my mother's face, I couldn't hold in the tears as I watched mom being tortured so much, tied up with robes dipped in wolfsbane, blood all over her face and her back against the massive round wooden wheel they brought with them, it was stained with blood from previous horrors and that was a message to me, that things were about to get bloody.
“Leave my mother alone!”
“Shut up little brat!”
Mother's arms and legs were outstretched and bound tightly to the wheel. Her wrists and ankles suffered from angry red marks from the thick, rough ropes that bit into her skin.
“Should we let Bella know what's going on or should I just go ahead and kill you right away?” He asked mom.
“I might not know what's going on, but I do know you're a coward full of evil.”
Clap! Rhaskah gave me a dirty backhand slap, sending me right to the ground. “I see you gave birth to a little disrespectful brat.” He spoke directly in mom's face.
Mother struggled so hard but she had no strength left in her. “Listen to me Rhaskah, I swear to God and on my late husband's grave, I didn't take the diamonds, the police were shooting and I had to leave the diamonds in the bush because they were too heavy to run with.”
“Theresa, if you keep telling me that same f*****g story I swear to God you're gonna make history repeat itself.”
History repeat itself? What did he mean by that? I wasn't even close to getting a hint about where this was all going.
“You remember what I did to you the last time you lied to me about the diamonds?” The demon Alpha asked.
“You killed my husband by burning him alive in our home.” Mom answered, giving me the biggest shock of my life. My dad was killed by this same piece of s**t? This monster?
“Exactly! And now if you lie to me again, I'm gonna make you watch my two friends take turns on disvirgining your daughter and then you're gonna watch her burn like your husband did.” He slapped her leaving claw marks on her face, “Now tell me. Where are the diamonds we stole together 41 years ago?
“The police took them.” My mother's response triggered Rhaskah “Lies! You're Lying to me and I swear you're gonna regret it!” he slapped her again then turned to two of his pack members commanding them to “go get the mealth!”
I didn't know what that meant but I understood it the moment they went out and came back with two jerry cans of fuel. “What are these demons up to?”
Rhaskah looked at me with those evil eyes, stepping closer to me as he spoke “You're about to see the most horrifying thing you'll ever see in all your years of staying on earth.” He looked so serious and those words made me shiver with fear “I dated your mother many years ago and back then, we both weren't werewolves. We planed a heist, we stole two damn bags of diamonds but the police were on to us, so guess what I did.”
“I can't guess.” I said shivering.
“Well, I'll tell you, I decided to give Theresa, your mom, I gave her the diamonds to run away with it so that I could give myself to the police and let them stop the chase. Our agreement was that if I get arrested, she'll make arrangements with other gang members to come break me out of jail and then we'll sell the diamonds and split the money. But your mom never showed up. Instead, she left me to rot in jail and got married to the fool who put you inside of her.”
“Do not hurt my mother.” I said like I could actually do anything if he hurt her.
“No I'm not gonna hurt her, I'm just gonna take her life.” He said then signaled his Betas to pour the fuel all over the house.
“Please don't do this Rhaskah. You know this is not about the diamonds, because if it's truly about them, you definitely knew the police took them, I dropped them to run for my life.”
“Lies!” He slapped mom yet again and I couldn't help seeing my lovely mother suffer like that. What had that woman done to deserve such pain. I kept swearing within me “If I ever get to make it out of here alive, I'll make sure that Rhaskah and his evil pack never live to see their children.”
“Take Bella outside, it's time to end this.” Rhaskah said and his Betas pushed me out of the house which was already wet with fuel. “Listen to me Bella girl, no one messes around with Rhaskah Dimekhelis and goes free!”
“My mother didn't do anything to you.” I struggled to break free as they pushed me around.
“A few years ago, I beat the s**t outta your pathetic dad, tied him up in a home like this, burnt him alive in the house and forced your mother to watch that home burn to the last ash.” He was so proud to say that, his eyes filled with evil and no feelings.
“You're the devil himself.”
“Oh you're not the first to say. Your mother said the same thing years back. And this time, you're gonna be the one to stand here and watch your mom burn in this house alive.”
“No! Please, please don't do that please.” I couldn't act tough anymore, this man with no human heart wasn't going to spare the only family I had left if I kept acting tough. “Please Rhaskah I beg of you, I will do anything, I will be your slave if you want. But please just spare my mother's life.”
“Sorry cutie, there's nothing I want more than seeing Theresa turn to ashes. That's what she deserves for betraying me.” He concluded then lit up the matchstick.
“Oh no! No Rhaskah you can't do this please! Please!” I wished I could die in the process of watching him throw that matchstick at the building. “God No!” I cried at the top of my voice seeing the building get caught up in flames, “Why! Why did you do this? Why?” I fell on my knees helplessly. “Please Rhaskah you can still stop the fire, you can still change your mind, stop the fire please.”
All he did was smile demonically as we all heard my mother scream. That was no longer my home, it was now a burning building. And watching me lose everything only gave Rhaskah a feeling of victory “Never mess with me or you'll end up like this.” He warned in my face to flex his dangerously red alpha eyes. Pushed me to the ground then walked away with his Betas.
My life was completely ruined, all by one man who couldn't control his blood thirst. I watched them leave as I lay curses on them, swearing on the ashes of my burnt mother “I shall not rest until I make him pay for what he'd done, I will destroy his life and everyone he's ever met. My mother's death must be avenged. Rhaskah Dimekhelis, wait for my return!”
