Jax's POV
We've been sitting at Red River for over an hour, waiting to hear back from my dad.
The pains in my chest haven't stopped. I'm going crazy just sitting here. I can't use up my energy, because I'll need it to go save Bailey. And trying to stay calm and control my wolf. I'm at the end of my rope.
My phone rings and I see its my dad finally calling me back.
"What have you found out?" I instantly ask, no hello or anything.
"Michael Lauer was an elder. He was disgraced and kicked out years ago when his mate died. He was alpha to a different pack though, Clear Water. The elders took that pack from him and handed it over to another alpha..."
