Chapter Eight
In the darkness, red eyes watched the shabby looking people trickle back and forth. Several of the people moved back and forth in the darkness. Hind spider legs spun the web between itself as it glanced at its prey down below. The eyes peered down at the people, then the mouth appeared licking its teeth. Fires burned in the distance in barrels.
The creature with slow movements under the cover of darkness as it moved closer. One person gazed up to see the brick-stained eyes glancing it. The person screamed, and a loud roar echoed through the alleyways. Dozens of people ran as they saw the eyes come out of the darkness then appearing tall in form on one the walls of the buildings. The creature hurled some of the spun web at them. Screams were heard as the people ran.
