Mia parked her bike outside of a old run down looking bar. She lets out a sigh “well old friend it’s just you and me tonight”. She says to her self as she takes off her helmet and walks inside the bar. It felt good to be home after a long day on the road. Mia walked towards the bar where an older rough weathered woman stood . “ look what the cat dragged in” I thought I would never see you around these parts again little one.

Mia smiled I miss you too Rosie . When Mia’s parents passed away Rosie took her in and loved her like she was her own. Mia sat on an old bar stool so what will it be Rosie asks? Whisky plan Mia replies. Rosie eyes soften what’s wrong dear ?

Mia knew better than to lie to the old lady so she sighs again as she tells her that her husband cheated on her and they had gotten a divorce, and was later let go of her job. She had no more ties back In California so she came back home to Ohio. Rosie smiles you look hungry let me fix you a plate. she starts walking towards the kitchen. Mia was about to take a sip of her drink when the doors burst open and a tall beautiful alien walked in. She took off her helmet and walked up to the bar .

She was breath taking she had crimson skin with muscles slightly noticeable underneath her armor. She let her black wavey hair hang down just barely hiding her horns. She sat down next to Mia. Mia finished her drink and walked behind the bar since her aunt was busy in the kitchen. “How can I help you she asked the alien” a shot of brimstone she replies, Mia smiles coming right up.

She starts to fixing her drink, so what brings you here Mia asks? The alien looks at her and smiles I just finished a job, and I need a place to lay low for a bet I figured getting wasted at a bar on earth fits the bill. She looks Mia up and down she winks at Mia “and a gorgeous bartender is just a bonus. Mia was taken off guard of her statement sorry I am no bartender I am just helping my aunt while she is in the kitchen.

Just then Rosie walked in through the swing kitchen doors

holding a huge pot of hot chili and she starts pouring some into bowls. She looks at the new comer you look hungry stranger she says to the alien come fill your belly with something more filling. The alien smiles thank you, it smells good The hot chili hit the spot after a long day. She had to escort a galactic ambassador to a summit meeting.

Just as Scarlet was going to Oder another shot a notification came up over her comms about another job. It was for a kidnapping of a child , the details went on to explain that she was a child of a rich family and the talons a rival merch company to hers was the culprits. A idea crossed her mind, she looked over to the girl to see what she was working with. Mia was a beauty that was for sure she was tall and was in fairly good shape . “hmmm, scarlet coughed trying to get the girls attention, sorry to interrupt but I over heard your conversation and it so happens that the contract I have been assigned to requires that I have a human partner. And you are the only human around so what do you say? It pays well and it a simple job? Mia looked at her Thinking about it , she knew she needed to do something and it’s not like she had anything better to do besides tend to the bar.

She stripped her worn armor an hung up her firearms on the coat rack and she stepped inside of the hot shower letting the hot water soak into her aching muscles. When she was done she dried off. she fell onto the bed and fell asleep.
